If you don’t put regular monthly payments into bank account you will receive a default on your credit file ( Experian). Also can’t login to close account and they won’t accept a email to close it plus charged me £25 for not putting money in.

“Something went wrong” every time I try but I can hilariously still approve website logins form the app.
Headline interest rates rarely achieved
The app and bank promise high rates of interest. But if your balance drops below the threshold , even when you bring it back up above the threshold , you receive 0% interest the whole next month.
So this is a mechanism which works in the banks favour and means that for many accounts , for many months, they get away with paying 0% interest , even though the balance is above the threshold for the whole month.
Be careful.
Other banks exist which offer straightforward accounts without such tricks.

I can’t even login
Can’t even login on the app, I input user and pass and it always says there was an error.
I have no idea how think bank survives
Honestly - the basic functionality of trying to enter the app or access certain features is appalling. Instead of going after awards in the papers and shiny LinkedIn stories - developers should be working to actually make the app usable. Can’t login, forces you to update on App Store to use it (I don’t mind but after updating it should work). Imagine having to pay people on time and not being able to log in to perform a simple action??? To everyone reading - I’m going to open up a bank account with an established bank - all of the things these new banks think they’ve fixed… they haven’t. It’s still simpler logging on to HSBC, Lloyds, NatWest for business banking and pay someone, rather than these unusable bank apps.

Really simple to use app which does everything I need it to do. I’ve spoken to their customer support and they’ve been really friendly too.

APR RATES ARE ALL LIES AND THE APP IS RUBBISH TO OPERATE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BAN AT ALL CLOSTS.
Cannot search for transactions
I have unfortunately had to mark this app as 1 star, a basic feature of being able to search for a transaction does not exist and has not existed ever despite me raising this multiple times through several channels within the organisation, once this changes I will update my review. When you run a business and have to manually scroll through transactions to find if you have been paid or paid an invoice is tedious and not acceptable. This is not a review of the bank however.

Our Business Banking should be done!
Having run a small business for the last 25 years and banked with some of the most well-known High Street names, this bank cropped up purely by accident on an unrelated Google search. To begin with I thought there must be a payback somewhere; no one would provide free banking to a business without one! Having opened a savings account with them followed by a current and reward savings account I cannot be better pleased. The service is amazing! Everyone goes out of their way to do what they can for you whenever you ring and problems are solved very efficiently and rapidly. I cannot recommend the team highly enough. I would suggest if you own a small business like me this is the place to take your money. Happy banking!!

Great Bank, Great App
Really enjoying my banking experience with Allica Bank. They offer a great product set and their current account offers great rewards I’ve already reached £500. App is pretty good and keeps getting better

The online services are not very good. Very limited options. Hard to navigate. And not so clear. Sorry to say, hopefully they will improve.

Good interest rates, no CSV for accounting software
Sadly despite the app having the button to download CSV, it does not work and the ça team cannot say when it will be enabled. This makes inputting transactions into your accounting software a bit problematic. If I had know this before hand, I would have found a different bank.

Just opened our new Allica account - really smooth sign up and the team were so helpful. It’s been amazingly quick to get sorted and everything just works - makes a nice change!
