A Personal Trainer In Your Pocket

Great app! It has a few kinks, but regardless, it pulled me out of a plateau and got me moving in the right direction.

The Single Best Workout Tracker On The Market

I have been using Aloha Progression for over 3 years and I never plan on stopping. The user friendly interface and thoughtful design makes everything a breeze. There is just no competition in this market for what the team at AP has founded and continues to grow.

Awesome app!

As a beginner, I was hesitant to try a workout app, but getting the yearly subscription was absolutely worth it. It’s so easy to use and adjust, and the video demos are perfect for making sure you're doing the exercises safely.

Great app

Alpha Progression has given me so much more confidence in the gym. The written instructions and demonstration videos make every exercise easy to understand, and the recommendations genuinely improve each week as the app learns from my workouts. It makes progressive overload feel approachable instead of overwhelming. The developer is also very communicative and responsive. I’m extremely impressed with both the app and the support behind it!

Pass on it

I paid for a year. My phone ran out of batteries mid workout. All my progress was gone. My account was gone. Made an email to the dev with nothing. Now I lost months of progress because now I have to guess where I left off. Which matters when you do small micro loads over time. Will not be renewing.

Such a Great Tool

Im on week 10 of using this app and I am really enjoying it! I love that the app helps structure my workouts and makes it easy to track my progress over time. It pushes me to try heavier weight when I wasn’t sure how much to “progressively overload”. I also like that it times my rest so I don’t mess up there. Skipping rest is just like skipping reps!! 🤗 All in all a great investment!

Locked Me Out

The app lost progress of my previous workouts and then wouldn’t recognize my email address. So I lost 4 days of use for the app that I was deciding to pay a one year subscription which I will no longer pursue.

Just what I was looking for

I came from other workout apps that only tracked the basics—sets, reps, and what I did last week. They were good, but very basic. I really like this app because it gives actual advice on how to improve weight, technique, and reps. It handles progressive overload perfectly, understanding that some muscles respond better to different weights and rep ranges.
I’ve been using the free trial and I’m really enjoying it. I find the annual subscription just a little bit too expensive for me right now, but if I ever catch a sale, discount, or promo, I would definitely get it.
Overall, it’s a really great app and I’m still getting the hang of it. My only minor suggestion is about the rest timer. The notification when the rest ends is too subtle; if you aren't looking directly at your phone, you miss it completely. It’s a small detail, but adding an option for a more noticeable alert would be fantastic.

Great for regular gym use

Easy to use, very flexible, builds upon the work you do. Great for the gym during crowded times because there are so many options of equipment isn’t available.
Every exercise has a nice video instruction if you need it.

Best Gym app

Love the app ❤️‍🔥

Good for mixed gym

I have a lot of gym pieces but not a full gym. This app builds a training routine around the gym equipment I have. I came from a lot of crossfit and I am trying to slow the grind a bit now that I am getting older. My equipment was box oriented andthe app built a good routine for me to get back to moving again after some injuries.

Recommended app to track weight progression and alternative exercises

I have been using this app on the pro trial version for a couple of days and will continue to use it while the trial last. So far I am considering paying for the yearly subscription since it is helping me and as a fellow freelancer and artist I believe that if you like something and is helping you achieve your goal, you should pay for it since nobody should work for free.

This been said, so far there are two things that are getting a bit annoyed but are not a deal break yet to dont pay the subscription. (Will see if that changes)
Maybe there is an option that I haven't seen and the developers can help me out.

1- there isn't a timer for the plank exercise or any exercise where there are not reps but a set duration involving the exercise. The app has de rest timer but not a timer to track an exercise.

2- the rest time notification not always work and when it does sometime is delayed and it only gives you the notification and not an actual continuos alarm that you need to turn off. So if you are resting and you have the phone on the bench or pocket you might miss it.
Also, I use an apple watch and the alarm doesnt get deliver there neither. Not sure if the app even connects with the watch during workouts because the only notifications that I do get deliver and show on the watch are the daily reminders to workout. And yes, i have the notification options enabled.

I am going to continue using and testing the app with the trial and most likely will send an email to the developers if I find another bug or feature that could be added.

I still give a 5 stars because I think is a great app that deserves it.

Seasoned gym goer

It’s been easy to navigate.

Excellent app, outstanding customer service

I signed up for the 14 day free trial of the pro level. The app is terrific but a little more advanced then I needed. I canceled it before the 14 day due date. Unfortunately I had accidentally subscribed twice, so I was billed for the subscription I didn't realize I had. When I emailed customer service they got back to me the next day, explained the issue, and refunded the charge (even though it was my error). Down the road when my training gets a little further advanced, I will definitely keep Alpha Progression in mind to try again.

Best FREE workout tracking app

The is the best app I’ve used and consistently come back to when I train. Everything I need is in here except maybe a few very rare exercises but overall, for a free app it’s fantastic. Tracks weights, gives you a good idea of training intensity to. Highly recommended from a professional dancer of 15+ years.
