I feel like this app literally always has problems or is always undergoing maintenance. It's unusable roght now after the latest update. I really wouldn't recommend this bank.

Upgrade not compatible with my iPhone
I have loved the AltaBank app and have used it virtually every day for a very long time. Today I tried to log in and check accounts only to be told that I have to update the application, which I would be happy to do.
But I have an iPhone 8, which is in like new condition, but your upgrade requires iOS 17 which will not load on an iPhone 8. So if I want to continue using your very helpful app I have to buy a new $1000 phone. That STINKS!

having been born in the first half of last century I grew up with banking standards set at a very high level.
Altabank still provides that high level service and manages to do that using todays technology. Good Job!!

Good bank but closed on weekends
Really wish they offered banking on saturdays. For some reason I’m only offered mobile deposit for my savings account but not my checking account
User friendly, very easy to set up and use with multiple accounts!!!
Super easy to use. Really easy to set up, set alerts, transfer between accounts and look at multiple accounts without having to log in and out.
Worst banking App I’ve used.
I currently use multiple banking apps and this is by far the worst one. It’s hardly changed since its conception in the early 2000’s. With how much technology is out there you’d think a bank that’s been around as long as this one has, with how many times it’s changed ownership their app would be more streamline, and more advanced. Even the smallest Credit Union Apps, I use, is better than this one.

Bill Pay Issues
THE NEW APP IS HORRIBLE.
The account balance never updates with recent transactions, payments or transfers. Also doing transfers always causes errors and takes multiple tries. The way that deductions and payments post look strange and deductions almost appear as payments. It’s confusing for me in my 30’s. I can’t imagine the older generation trying to navigate this app. It also crashes often. This is the worst app on my phone.

Much better UI. One bug.
One problematic bug—it fails to load my recent transactions lately.

Unreliable Mobile Deposit
Every update to the app makes it more difficult and less reliable to make mobile deposits.

Finally after having one of the worst web site’s in banking you listened to your depositors and created probably the best. Thanks
Bad bill pay design
This new system is ridiculous! Instead of being able to put in numerous amounts on bill pay and hit submit at the end you have to do each one separately. What a pain!

Visa Credit Card
Needs to be linked to our AltaBank Visa credit card so we can quickly see our balance and transactions.
Hidden improvements
I thought the new app was just an improvement in the interface tell I played around. It actually has a few nice improvements. I love that I can find my account numbers and the routing number by clicking on the accounts. I can’t tell you how many times I needed that. The chat feature saves me a call as well. You can chat with a banker from a few spots in the app and I noticed I could ask about a specific transaction by dragging them into the chat. I also noticed that the debit card management feature shows what account my cards are tied to. Finally, I noticed that the preferences I set in the app are synced with the website as well. It seems to be a nice upgrade with some nice improvements hidden throughout the app.
