Why won’t app open in public using wifi or data
I am having trouble using the app other than home I should be able to access the app easily through my data plan I usually do not use the store free wifi…yes I have lots of data and I don’t run out

Tiny print where lots of empty space is available, grey areas that are hard to read.

Terrible app!! Constantly crashing and doesn’t load properly!! Unreliable and useless! Not very user friendly and their customer service sucks big time!! Stay away! There are many other banks like Tangerine that are infinitely much BETTER!

Finally had to had to delete and reinstall. Frustrating.
No Apple Pay
It is long past time that Alterna support Apple Pay. This is a clueless oversight for an otherwise good credit union.

I find the app easy to use and intuitive. It can do everything that a bank’s app does. Alterna doesn’t charge outrageous bank charges and doesn’t claim record profits every quarter.
Cant even get to the login page
App cant even load the login page. How am I supposed to login now? Online chat ended by asking me to call in to verify my account. But I haven’t able to get to the login page yet so what’s there to verify in my end??

Cheque deposit doesn't work all the time
Today, as I took a picture of the back of the cheque (Gov't of Canada cheque) for the 5th time, the app kept giving me the same message that "neither cheque image looks like the back of the cheque", even though clearly endorsed and quite obviously not the front. Result... could not deposit the cheque.
This app repeatedly makes using it difficult, even down to the location of the logout button.

It’s ok but they do not support Apple Pay
The app has improved over the years but still feels dated. Alterna does not support Apple Pay do actually currently considering a bank change.
Calling it a 3.2 is generous
Lots of big promises, lots of broken lies.
