Charged me $240 for training and then didn’t show up
The company that runs this is horrible. For people with ADHD, the app is very elaborate. I was willing to pay for special training so I could figure out how to use it, and when I inquired, I was connected to the founder of the app, who has a website where you pay $240 for an hour of her time. I paid it and then her calendar was broken so I couldn’t book a time. When I inquired by email, someone said they would let her know and then it was radio silence from there.

Outstanding Customer Service - Thank You Branko!
Amazing Marvin is incredible! So customizable and creative. I've used a lot of habit/to-do list software and settled on Notion for a few years, but I kept running into certain points of friction. So far, it seems like Marvin can solve them! It takes time to set up and all the features can be overwhelming, but it's worth it for the customizability.
The team is extraordinarily helpful! The primary reason I took the time to write a review is that Branko in particular has given me tons of advice, replying super quickly to my questions with clear instructions that indicate a deep understanding of the product. Seems like the developers have been responsive to feature requests as well! Grateful and excited 🙌

Fantastic app, amazing customer service
-I’ve been using AM for about 6 months.
-I’ve tried loads of different project planning apps and tend to get a bit obsessive over getting my planning system perfect.
-AM is by far the best i’ve used.
-On top of that, when i got in touch with customer service i got a quick friendly reply that completely solved the issue.
-I honestly feel like they are trying to make life easier for their customers, not just in it for the money which is unusual and refreshing.
-100% would recommend if you want a central app to plan everything and anything in
Tip:
-The web interface is better than the app. I do all of the heavy editing on my laptop but use the app to add things on the fly.

Only works in web
The web version is 5/5 but the iPhone version can’t load. 1/5
Current Version of App Is Unusable
As far as I remember this is my only 1-star review. I can open the app once, and log in. After initial log in the app locks on the start animation and then crashed. Support suggested I use the web app. I have tried it but the tiny touch points are annoying. I like the service but mobile is key part of my workflow and this just does not work. Back to Todoist for me.

Great
It can be simple or super custom.
Calendar sync is a joke
Wasted 3.5 hours of hyper focus trying to get the calendar sync to either display all the items at once, or not duplicate them times 5.
Customer service never wrote back when I asked about student discount.
Zero percent chance I’m paying that much for some broken (cr)app.
For an app that’s supposed to reduce adhd stress, I am livid and near tears.

An amazing app
Have been using it for years
The best app out there
I know the mobile app is a little behind the desktop app, but there is no app out there quite like Amazing Marvin. Grateful for it every day!
Glitch in calendar renders app almost useless
This app is clever and customisable. It doesn’t have much flexibility in its interface (you can’t fix the option buttons on tasks, raise text size on the wall, or stop the background changing colour as you mouse over, even in dark mode, which as a migraine sufferer, I find maddening - I don’t need more things moving and flashing) but it does allow a lot of customisation strategy - matrixes of more than one type, reminders, different ways of organising lists, time blocks for certain types of task (good for housework). And it has evaluation tools like time tracking so you can see if you worked your plan.
However, there is no way of copying time blocks or appointments on the calendar. It’s necessary to create each one individually, which takes ages. It’s supposed to be possible to shift-click to copy, but a (confirmed) bug has stopped this working. This has been left unfixed for months, leaving me struggling desperately with matching to-do with time, and rendering most advantages of the program (like time blocks) useless. As most computer calendars have more than one route by which you can copy, that it should have been left unfixed for so long is unbelievable (if they can’t deal with the shift-click bug they can add other options for the function). And any function being left broken is a breech of trust: what will go wrong next? It’s recommended for neurodiversity but of all people we most need reliable functionality.
All in all, my experience with this program has been a frustrating waste of time and energy. It would be wonderful if it worked as it’s supposed to. It doesn’t.

Hidden gem!
I’ve just spent hours testing over 20 different productivity tools. I was ready to give up and stick with my old tool that although wasn’t perfect was free and familiar. Then I decided to try Marvin (I tested it last year and it wasn’t quite right). OMG! It’s absolutely amazing and meets all my needs. I hope my review will encourage others to try it (or try it again if you tried it previously). Together with the desktop app, this will now be my main productivity tool.

Read the small print!
This is a very promising app, but the price is way to high. It is asking £10.39 a month! This information does not feature prominently, so before you go ahead and put all the effort in, consider if you want to pay that amount in perpetuity, or if there is other options out there. It’s a shame, because it looks good, but with that price point, I’d also ponder how long it will keep going, and what will happen to all your input if you leave/it stops.

Great App! Wish there was more development on ios apps
I have ADHD and this was the app that finally got me motivated for all of my to dos. The customization is just right, not overwhelming or underwhelming and very user friendly. Only downside is that I hate how this looks on the IPad and that’s were I prefer to do a bulk of my planning and work, and many features are difficult or impossible to access on the IPad.

Perfekt! Danke!

Complimentary tool with desktop program.
I’ve read the mediocre reviews on here and feel I should share my experience. The app is only a barebones version of the PC. The program and app seem to be in regular updates, so if it isn’t working for you now, it might at a later date. I still think the app is an excellent part of the entire AM tool kit. I would recommend this in conjunction with the PC version. AM has changed my academic and regular life significantly for the better. There is well set up systems that are a great place to start but AM really shows off in the customization of the system. It took months of trying different combinations of strategies. The developer is very good about answering questions quickly. I’ve tried several of the other task management/productivity apps and all of them pale in comparison to the features and functions that Amazing Marvin has overall. AM has time tracking for each task, time blocking, duration estimates, scheduling, planning, soft deadlines, task dependencies, to do lists, agendas, methods for helping prioritize tasks, and the list goes on. Being able to set time blocks and have the tasks I have scheduled for the day automatically set into their category connected to the time block has been a game changer. I highly recommend this program and by extension, the app, for anyone struggling with time management. It has not occurred to me that there would be an expectation for the full features in the mobile app. The app has been working extremely well in the capacity that I have been using it for (as a supplementary tool), so I hope this review helps in understanding the program and app as it is at the time of this review.

The one app to rule them all
I’ve tried every task / productivity app out there, I have ADHD, so eventually I’ll get bored & stop using them. But AM is so customizable, that when I feel I start to get bored, I can change my flow or strategy & it feels like a brand new app. No other app is capable of doing this. The bad reviews of the phone app are unfair in my opinion, because yes, the phone up can’t compare to the Mac or web apps, but is not supposed to, is meant to be a companion app, it does all the most important stuff & then some more. If you’re one of those who changes apps all the time because you either get bored or because you can’t find one that has everything you need in a productivity app, try AM. It can be a little overwhelming at first due to being SO customizable, but don’t get discouraged, their video tutorials are a lot of help, and so are their Subreddit & Facebook group. Customer service is A+

Amazing app for getting things done
I’ve tried a bunch of different apps (Todoist, Things 3, Clickup, Trello, and more) and am surprised Amazing Marvin isn’t getting more attention! It works great out of the box, and there are lots of helpful features you can add on depending on what works for you.
What I value is that unlike other apps that mainly just focus on to do list maintenance, Amazing Marvin has tools to help you plan and manage your time in a flexible way - for example, you can set up time blocks and add tasks to them. Highly recommended for people who could use some help with actually getting things done!

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I love amazing Marvin. I have been stuck in a lot lately. In fact, I think I’ve always been stuck in a rut. I have tried many organizing systems, whether they are in the physical form or in the digital form but none has ever stuck. That is where amazing Marvin comes into play, I love how amazing Marvin has all the options out there in one compact place and all you have to do is set the settings to work with the tools that work best with you or the fact that you can have fun experimenting. My favorite feature has to be the self-control, the procrastinator doctor, and the goals, and projects features.

Keeps me organized
The modularity aspect made it a winner over the thousand other apps out there. Instead of forcing you to organize your days a certain way it allows you to choose what works best for you.
