Revert the new update
The AFCU app use to be so intuitive, really it’s what kept me around after 6 years. I would refer people to this credit union mostly because I loved the app so much. It was clean, fast, easy to use. The UI was set up so well. Kiss all of that goodbye with this new update. It’s hideous, ditching the clean white and blue interface with an ugly grey and blue clunkfest. It makes it really hard to track transactions, it won’t even let me transfer money to other AFCU accounts. Not one thing has been improved on with this update, it BLOWS my mind that this got green lit. Who passed this? This had to go through so many people to go live and no one had the gall to say maybe this is a bad idea? Are execs so far up their own butts that they didn’t once think this was a step backwards? Shame on you AFCU. Please revert the app!

Downgraded Update
The latest update makes the platform look so messy. Nothing is as comprehensive as it was before. I liked when I could see everything from the main page and if I wanted more detail I would click on it, but now you gotta click into everything just to see what it is. Having the charges in parentheses and the remaining balance right underneath looks awful and confusing. You have to search for the category’s now instead of them just being in a list view; I don’t even know how to do subcategories anymore. I’m sure I could go on but I’m still relearning the platform. I’ve never been more sad to see an app “update”.

Latest update is horrible
The new update is awful. You can no longer see the full description of your recent purchases without having to manually select “toggle details” for EVERY. SINGLE. PURCHASE. I really hope they sort this out soon because I have only been dealing with it for a day and I’m already considering switching banks.

I WANT THE OLD VERSION OF THE APP BACK
i personally think this new update makes the app less convenient to use and is also slower than the older version of the app. i am not happy with this version.
Bring back the previous app!
The new app makes me feel like I’ve taken a time machine back a couple decades. It’s clunky and far less user friendly . I LOVED the previous app and feel the new one is a clear miss.

Update has ruined the app
A simple, friendly, useful app has been gutted and replaced with trash. It now feels like I’m reading the fine print on a car warranty when I open the app. The app is so much harder to read, with poor color contrast and unclear fonts. Features that I regularly used, like the daily savings automatic transfer, have been removed. It’s harder to scroll through my accounts because it jumps from page one to page three and I have to scroll back to see page two. The app used to have an easy to interpret interface, that gave me an at-a-glance review of my accounts, which is completely lost. Transfers automatically select today’s date, even if the banking hours are over for that day. Previously the app would automatically forward the requested transaction to the next business day. Now the app fails to complete the transfer, and the blob of text telling you that the transfer failed is difficult to read with few clues how to fix it.

The UX on the new update is terrible. Why can’t I see a vendors logo to see what the charge was for without clicking into it? Very weird update

If I could give it zero stars, I would. The new update is hard to read and not user friendly.
App is down way too often.
They offer online banking, just don’t expect to use it whenever you want. I haven’t had access in days. The new AI or whatever they’re trying was not needed or wanted. Old version of app was better. They tried, and they failed.
Terrible Update
I am not one to write reviews, but this new update is awful. I have loved the AFCU mobile banking app for years. It’s always been so easy to use, very user friendly, bright, clean, easy to see and read graphics and designs. The new update however is TERRIBLE! Not nearly as user friendly, design is clunky and hard to read. A lot of things that were so easy in the previous app are not easy anymore. You can’t write memos for transactions anymore. Feels like they went backward several steps instead of forward. AFCU, please go back to what you had before. It was the best, and this new update is the worst.

Version 9.0 isn’t great
New version of the app isn’t great. Not easy to read deposits, transfers, etc. Organization is poor. Legibility is very low compared to old setup. Not any real options to customize. My accounts aren’t all visible. They keep rearranging. Terrible update.

Overall it takes more clicks and a lot more scrolling to get basic tasks done like going to bill pay. Bill pay itself is the same as before, missing key features that the desktop version has.

Horrendous redesign/update
AFCU has had numerous redesigns and updates, and this one is by far their worst.
The UI is clunky, cluttered, and buttons in the app simply do not work. The navigation menu often gets stuck and scrolls with the page. It’s clear this is a poorly-baked web app masquerading as a native iOS app. Does AFCU not do any UX testing?!

Where is the option to enable Red for negative and Green for positive transactions?
Why is it clumped all together on one long list instead of by days?
What is with this smooth brain minimalist design?
I really don’t mind updates but don’t take away features and not replace them with others.
Layout is terrible hands down there is no positive there.
Being able to see down to the penny on your accounts is nice but not necessary.
