This app is horrible
You all really need to take the time to update this app, to keep deleting and redownload the app is very redundant. This has been an ongoing issue. And being locked out of my account countless time when I’m putting in the exact code you all send . There is a serious bug defect that truly needs attention. This is very inconvenient especially when trying to handle business.

Trash app
App is complete trash. Constantly forgetting my login info, getting credentials off, logging me off, failing to authenticate, not allowing me to stay logged in. Use the web instead if you value your sanity
Should be better
This app needs an update. Haven’t been able to log in. My screen freezes as I open the app and calling customer service hasn’t solved it. Even when I uninstall and install again. The app is super slow and so far behind. Feels like using an app in 2010. I’m a content creator with over 700k followers on all platforms and will have to make a video on this situation soon if nothing is resolved as a statement. Thanks

It doesn’t even remotely work
Can the needless app breaking stop?
The app will work great and then an update will come around causing the app to crash. It's been like this for a month and isn't the first time this has occurred. Whenever the app works it's great. It's just unfortunate that it continues to operate less and less.
Terrible
It will randomly not let you login and tell you you your credentials are invalid. Will send you codes to your phone but won’t let you reset your password. Then lock your account for multiple attempts. Ameris Bank is trash.
Worst banking app I’ve ever used
Nothing ever works on this app! frequent login issues, daily tasks like balance transferring is like pulling teeth. At least 50% of the time you’ll get stuck in a loop of “login->verify your login->login->verify your login”. And anytime you even want to transfer a balance or pay it’s a guessing game as the app doesn’t correctly show the names of any accounts.

Barley works
Never once have I opened this app and it worked properly. Sometimes it would log me out mid session or “forget” my device. I have to constantly sign in again and again even with Face ID on. It’s extremely annoying but not as annoying as depositing a check. Constant errors all the time it’s actually ridiculous. App so bad it makes me want to switch banks completely

The logo may roar like a lion, but the performance is lying. This app keeps telling me everything is working as intended, but my experience says otherwise. The app crashes constantly, Zelle transfers fail or get stuck, and transfer accounts randomly disappear when I need them most.
Every update promises a smoother experience, yet the same problems keep coming back. Banking should provide confidence and peace of mind, not uncertainty and frustration.

Awful app. Keeps crashing
I have had an Ameris account for a couple years now. The app is awful! Not user friendly and it crashes so many time. It’s a joke! I am actually going to totally close my account due to the incompetence of this app as I do most of my banking online! Don’t waste your time on it!
No longer works
This app has been buggy for at least a year now. It works one day, then flashes with a wheel.
Arbitrarily starting requiring iOS 18
For no reason this app started requiring iOS 18, which means you now have to upgrade to iOS 26 and I don’t want to upgrade. A former engineer for Apple has admitted that when new versions of the iPhone come out they make new version of iOS slow the older hardware down to the point you have to replace it.

Spend some of your customers money on a functional app
App has always been buggy. Suddenly stopped working- stuck in circle of death with the screen flashing on my phone. Deleted and reinstalled and can’t login/still not working.
Getting Worse, Just Like Ameris Bank
The app continues to get worse over time. It stopped preloading my username, it stopped allowing Face ID to login, it requires 2FA every single time I login no matter how many times I register this device, and sometimes it likes to have me log in, enter the 2FA code, then spits me back out to the login screen for no reason. Similarly, Ameris no longer lets you cash checks unless they’re from other Ameris customers (which is absurd), they no longer put a partial amount into your bank account when you deposit a check, and mobile deposits went from taking a day to taking nearly a week, so they’re useless. I was with Decatur First Bank before it became Fidelity, which is now Ameris. It’s a shell of what it once was. Changing banks asap.

Since the update last week I can’t log in at all. Ridiculous how it went from working fine to now not wanting to let me log in. Fix your bugs.

I just want to look at my bank account and I’m fighting the login screen. It happens every single time
Log in fails
I’m getting so incredibly frustrated with the log in system of this app. It had my biometrics saved and now it never prompts it. Never remembers my username or password even when I have those options toggled on. I have to use two method authentication every single time I log in even when I have remember my device saved. Half the time none of it ever works. I’ve been a loyal customer for over a decade and even brought in my husband to be a customer and I’m highly considering moving to a different bank just because the app is so frustrating. Fix this.
