subsription

this used to be the best app ever

Vibing to the beat and food!

Great music, social atmosphere and first time going to AmiGo spot! Great spot!

Good concept bad execution

The actual idea of the app is great bht how it works is not. Constant errors and having to uninstall and reinstall the app to use it.

Authentic Valencien Paella

Good restaurant, which is visited a lot by locals. Paella dishes have to be preordered the day before… worth it!

this app was incredible and now is so wildly overpriced for some basic features

Buggy app

Great concept let down by serious UI issues. Posts not saving properly, image selection glitchy, edits get lost into thin air.

AmiGo never disappoints

Tastemakers fill the gap for poor user experience

The user experience is terrible. They launched a “premium” version recently and all their emails link out to articles behind a paywall. The only reason it’s helpful is because of the tastemakers inputting recommendations. A lot of this information can be found on instagram and substack now though. The app is nice as it removes the search and is helpful for organizing.

Unusable

Great app ruined by a subscription model.

Premium subscription…

This app used to be so good. Too bad they got greedy.

Premium subscription

I’m so disappointed with a new update, especially that you did only one year subscription without payment per month, now it’s impossible to see people by destination, and only that you have without a subscription is really boring and hype places.. it was one of my fav app, and I understand founders interest in money doing, but now for me this app is totally useless. All this free info I could find on insta or tt with much better UX design. I’m really upset that you just turned the community into a paid annual subscription💔

A-mazing

Best app, loveeee it

Does not work well

So hard to navigate and only shows you expensive places, this is unhelpful

The best travel app

Best app to discover hidden gems loved by locals

Super laggy

Great app however it’s super super slow and crashes all the time. Takes forever to upload images and filter through recommendations. App is just generally slow which is unfortunate because it’s super useful.

App often crashes and quits mid way through upload / search. This has been happening for 4 - 6 months each time since I download it.

Not a new idea, but app is nice. Although too many bugs 🫤

especially with gallery picker

Been in the waitlist and now always show error

I have been in the waitlist like all summer. And then I tried to again fill the form and it always says error. Shame as I was expecting to use this.

Waitlist to get in

Why advertise this app to me, then not allow me to use it? You have to be on a waitlist to use the app..

Could be amazing

Amigo has a great concept, but needs much better execution. All the features are exactly what I want a travel app to do, but none work well enough to use IRL.
Populating trips w potential destinations is extremely time consuming, and actually not worth doing, since it’s almost impossible to see all of your “wishlist” in one place.
The feature I wanted to love most is the map with pins showing all scheduled or “wishlist”-ed destinations, so that I could easily see what was nearby, and visit them as my schedule allows. I didn’t realize until I tried to use the map on my first Amigo-assisted trip that the map doesn’t have enough detail to see where the destinations are, outside of their general neighborhood/vicinity, certainly no turn by turn assistance or even a name/listed address.
Lastly, unless you’re ready to schedule your entire itinerary, sharing “wishlist”-ed destinations with your “Amigos” is impossible.

Amigo! Please hire some great developers! I don’t care at all about influencer/sponsored content and bland suggestions, I really want your tech to work - it’s so close to being exactly what I am looking for!

For Mac. And a map.

I really love the concept of the app. It has a. nice vibe, it looks chic. But I would really like to open this on my Mac too. It's just easier for me.
Also, I would recommend to add a map of the world or of each country.. Because when I add places to for example 'Ibiza', then the person looking at those recommendations has to look at every restaurant online where it is on the island. It's just easier if you see it on the map. And if you would add a map, please keep it clean, and don't work with too many symbols/colors..
