About

Anchor is a daily support tool for people recovering from an eating disorder. It accompanies professional treatment; it never replaces it. WHAT IT DOES • Routines that hold you: meals, rest, movement. Confirm with a tap; if a day doesn't go to plan, that's okay. If you choose, they confirm themselves after their time, and say so. • "Now": one door for the hard moment. Ride the urge (fifteen minutes, accompanied), breathe with guidance (no breath holds), let an emotion pass, or open your safety plan. • Emotional check-in without numbers: how you are and, if you want, what's underneath. • Strategies grounded in DBT, CBT, ACT and self-compassion, with their evidence base in plain sight. • Plan ahead: trips, exams, schedule changes, with a minimum viable routine. • Progress without scores: the shape of your week, not a grade. • Honest psychoeducation: what is proven and what isn't. • Day or night: light, dark or as your iPhone. WHAT IT NEVER DOES • No calorie or macro counting. • No weight or BMI tracking. • No streaks, rankings or badges. • No red/green colour coding, no guilt-tripping tone. • No AI chat of any kind. PRIVACY Your data lives on your device and, if you choose, in your private iCloud. Anchor has no servers, no analytics and no ads. Health data (sleep, activity) is only read if you turn it on, and never leaves the phone. If you are in danger or your own thoughts scare you, Anchor takes you to your safety plan and to your region's helplines in two taps. Anchor is meant to be used alongside a treatment team. It is not a medical device or a treatment.

What's New in Anchor

0.2.0

October 10, 2026

If your pattern includes binge eating (with or without compensating), Anchor now offers a pause before eating (three breaths and a question, all optional) and suggests a snack when a long gap opens before dinner. The science section now only gives figures with a source.
