Love the device, meh about the app
I don’t use my Anova all that often, but I’m not really impressed by the ease of use of the app. And my favorite recipes won’t register on the favorite tab.
Also, the cookdown timer should only start when the correct temperature is reached. Kind of useless in function.

Lame Subscription
Since when did you bloodsuckers at Anova start charging users for a subscription? I used this app on and off, just recently re-downloaded the app and I see a prompt asking me to join their "subscription" service lol. Give me a break man, who TF do you idiots think you are? You guy's are really going to nickel and dime users see we can see "user shared" recipes and photos? I literally use this to check my Anova Temp when i'm elsewhere in the house. If I really wanted to "interact" with other's I'd just go on Food Network, IG, Reddit, Youtube, and etc. Shameless

A experiência do app é HORRÍVEL. E pior, você só pode controlar o sous vide pelo app.
Quando você seleciona a temperatura, a tela do app fica branca, travada. Ai você tem que fechar à força o aap e abrir de novo. Depois para selecionar o tempo, a mesma coisa. Péssimo app, péssimo desenvolvimento.

Timer does not countdown.
The features don’t work via Bluetooth/internet. The device shows connected but timer does not work. Have to do all manually, which defeats the purpose for the app. Have deleted reinstalled etc and doesn’t work. Perhaps you have to pay to have a timer work

It works perfectly every time and instructions are on point. What else do you ask for?

Это просто треш какой-то, могла бы поставить отрицательную оценку, поставила бы. Нужно удалять устройство и подключать заново каждый раз, как хочешь готовить - не находит. После переподключения послать настройки на девайс удается с 4-5 раза. По-моему, это худшая программа для управления устройствами, что у меня есть.
Фичей платных накрутили, а программа теряет устройство все чаще и чаще. Причем с каждым годом становится хуже, поначалу такого безобразия не было.

Rip off
I’ve had my Anova sous vide cooker with app connectivity for 4 years. I’ve never had to pay a subscription. I bought the device knowing it had connectivity and now they want to charge me a monthly fee for something that I already had when I bought it. That’s called theft. I don’t really care about your recipes. I just want to be able to control it from my phone and you took that feature away. Shameful business practices.

Great product
My wife will not eat beef unless we Sous vide it prior to cooking. This product makes it so easy to make great recipes and repeat them. The trick is repeating a great recipe. This Sous Vide will allow you consistently make great recipes.
Push notifications are paid? Ridiculous
All push notifications are locked behind their a subscription, which is all I really care about. It’s way too expensive for just that function and it wasn’t clear until after I bought the sous vide and paired it. I never would have bothered had I known.
Must have
My sous vide from Anova culinary has become a must have in my kitchen. It always delivers the perfect temperature for steak, chicken and even lobster.

This is when you need a negative 5 star option. Have had to go to Bluetooth in settings and manually connect it 3 times in 20 minutes. And yes the app is updated. I’ve had it over a year and the unit works great when the app isn’t crapping out. The shutoff timer has never worked. If it wasn’t a gift I would’ve returned it.
