Tips for connecting to WiFi
To save yourself the trouble of getting your thermostat to connect to the WiFi know this:
1. Your WiFi HAS to have a 2.4 GHz dedicated WiFi. If you have a combined 2.4/5 it won’t work. Some companies like cox, if you call support, will split it for you into 2 WiFi’s. Others like century link or quantum fiber will not. You will need to buy a separate router that can split those for you.
2. If you purchased the house from another person, no matter how hard you try, it won’t matter. You will not be able to connect until you go to advanced settings on the thermostat and unregistered the device from the previous owner.

Humidity Reading
The app doesn’t seem to accurately display the humidity of the apartment. We ace a centralized dehumidifier for the entire apartment and when the app is reading 37% humidity, the house will have much higher humidity. As I adjust the desired humidity in the app, my degice takes a reading and shows that the humidity is actually around 65%. The device doesn’t automatically take humidity readings and maintain the set humidity in the app.

NEVER works
Literally never works. I reset it the WiFi, update the app, etc. for months it won’t let me change the temperature or make any changes on the app. It says it cannot make that change every time.

Excellent thermostat I seen we used to know the Google nest is the best but it’s not true. This thermostat is much Effective and much better

App worked well for a while now it just closes as soon as I open the app.

Ever since the last update when I click on the app is just closes. Please fix ASAP
Analysis data is garbage
The app keeps loosing track of our dehumidifying time for very long periods, more than 24 hours. Fix your app!!
Worked well for two weeks
The app worked well for my dehumidifier for about two weeks. Now it suddenly won’t track the hours a day it’s running. Tried turning it off for a bit but still won’t track. I do hear it come on occasionally so I know it’s running.

It’s getting better
We’ve been using this system and app for 3+ years now. It’s getting better, but there are some things that I’d like to see:
1. Reflect Stage 1 & Stage 2 cooling in the app for better visibility as to what is going on.
2. Allow for custom labels in scheduling, and more than four. “Wake, Leave, Return, Sleep” is narrow and annoying.
3. Add predictability. If we’re in a heat wave, recognize cooling is going to have to start sooner. Nest figured this out over a decade ago.

Feature less
You can’t schedule when it comes on, the internal temp is always wrong, you can’t set alarms for when it’s off. Just missing features all around
Unreliable
Constantly disconnecting and then takes multiple tries to reconnect. Nothing intuitive about it.
Much improved
WiFi connection stability is much improved over previous versions. I don’t hesitate to recommend to my customers now!
No development
This app has been in years for years and they’ve done very little to update it to modern times for example should be able to lock it so nobody can increase the temperature or lower. It should use a password but now I got some silly thing everybody else I don’t recommend April air

No Matter or Apple Home support
Hi your walled garden is bad and you should feel bad. Please integrate with an open spec like Matter so that I can use this with Apple Home. I don’t want to use this app. I just want to turn on my humidifier based on my home automations in my ecosystem. Thanks.
