Come by, all sorts of things will happen and it will just stop recording it. I have to hard reset the doorbell or call in. It’s exhausting. We are likely going to change our doorbell service because this one has been so frustrating over the last couple years. Again, this has happened like 5-6 times, so I think we are done using Arlo. We have seen no improvement.

Not working properly
I have to log out and back in to make deleted recordings go away or shut my iPhone down and back on.
App keeps crashing and logging me out
App logs me in then logs me right out. It’s the fifth time or so it’s done this.

Badge notifications
After all updates the badge notifications are not being cleared after checking. Scrolling issues jumps on old videos.
Useless connectivity
Had this for a few weeks and it’s an absolutely useless, won’t connect to WiFi and support is terrible.

I loved it at first. Really simple and to the point. When the trial ended I decided to add a 128 gig flash drive to the hub to save locally. It only saves the indoor camera and gives a temporary notification for the door ringer. You can’t even see who was there, just a notification something was there and gone. Please stop this

Arlo is not what it used to be!
We purchased four Arlo 2 cameras many years ago before there was any monthly fee. Arlo used to be good. But the ads and harassment to sign up are now built into the app and are sure to ruin your day. Every time we open the app we have to deal with that nonsense, just to see what is in our yard. And deleting anything is next to impossible. As for the cameras themselves, there is a loud buzz on them half of the time drowning out everything else.

Service is too expensive
Service is too expensive. Functionality is limited when not subscribed to the service. Would not recommend.
Do not buy these cameras
Unless you pay an outrageous amount for a monthly subscription, your cameras will not record and are essentially useless.

Asked regularly for the last 3 years for comments and nothing has changed. 6 months later

It’s worse!! Found an alternative and it sucks too Blink. With all Amazon’s money you would think they could ace this but they don’t. The Arlo system just stopped working with my legacy cameras. The first generation of cameras and app were inexpensive but ate batteries like there was no tomorrow…. Next generation was li ion, great. Then they started screwing with the cloud app and made the third generation incompatible with the “free” service And the newest cameras aren’t as waterproof as they are supposed to be so …. 🗑 And they never had the inclination to let you use your own alert sound to let you know something or someone is where they shouldn’t be. They hit you with a tritone sound that you probably pay no attention to instead of an alarm sound that is unique to arlo so you know you have to act NOW! Looking for another company more “on the ball” than this one. I’ve tried to contact them but given up. They don’t care

Activities zones do not work when needed
I live in a pretty safe community, with some of the lowest rates of car theft and break-ins in the city. But even in a safe neighborhood, you can never be too sure.
That’s exactly why I set up Arlo cameras around my home and made sure my activity zones were properly configured.
Lo and behold, on September 11, someone stole a car right in front of my house—and somehow, there’s NO footage. Activity zones activated. Cameras working. Yet the one thing I actually needed them to capture? Nothing.
Thanks for nothing, Arlo. You manage to capture everything else—people walking by, random movement, animals—but apparently not the things that actually count.
