Once Great, Now TRASH!
These cameras were once the best in the business, sadly now they record for 5 seconds and freeze or glitch and don't work at all. I will NEVER buy SimpliSafe products again. With endless competition out there you'd think they would step their game up but they've fallen behind substantially. I own 3 small businesses and all were outfitted with SimpliSafe cameras and for a time they worked but no longer. Now shoplifters can pretty much do whatever they want and I have to wait until I hear back from someone in the IT department of SimpliSafe before I can actually watch a video of them taking stuff and by the time that happens they are long gone. This is horrible and I'm switching cameras immediately. I strongly urge everyone to buy a different product.

Always a connection problem. Junk app. Choose another company. As prices increase the functionality gets WORSE.
Critical Alerts don't work
App is all good and does generally all I require. However the critical alerts have stopped working 6 months ago. App is updated, iOS is updated, I've gone through all notifications and critical alerts on iPhone settings and SimpliSafe app but still doesn't work. REALLY annoying. Have even reinstalled app. Still doesn't work.

Unable to Disable Marketing Push Notifications
I’ve used their service for many years, and pay for their highest level of monitoring (about $33/month). This past weekend I’ve received several push notifications from their app advertising a promotion to sign up for their $15/mo monitoring plan. Getting a push notification from my home alarm app when I wasn’t expecting alarm activity caused me to be concerned that my alarm had been triggered (I use my focus modes to silent most notifications while I’m at work, and this is one of the few apps I allow to break through for obvious reasons). This is a terrible user hostile design by SimpliSafe.
Additionally, these marketing push notifications are not opt-in by default, and there is no setting available in the app to disable them. Both of these practices are violations of Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines, specifically section 4.5.4; Apple should remove this app from the App Store until SimpliSafe resolves these guideline violations.

Marketing push notifications
App is now pushing marketing messages with no way to turn off. Good way to get me to rip it out and put in a Ring system.
