Terrible
I accidentally disconnected my WiFi router and once everything was back up and running, the SimpliSafe app will not work no matter what I do. I’ve contacted customer service to troubleshoot the base and keypad and the agents barely know what they’re doing. While they’re telling me that my system is showing as active in their end, the app is not reflecting that. It’s all a mess. I give up with this company.

Oops—misleading information displayed
The app continues to display “There is a power outage” even after power has been restored. Apparently, the only way to clear this message is to conduct a physical power cycle restart and you must be at the physical location at the base station—there is no remote to fix this software “glitch.”
What happened
It started a little bit ago and I couldn’t get doorbell to connect to WiFi. Finally did resets. Now it says incorrect WiFi password. It’s the same password as my other 7 cameras and one I’ve been using for 7 years. So now I am stuck BC taking wall mount on and off I have to replace transformer plus camera doesn’t work. Then last night cameras were recording like crazy but none of the live feeds worked. All great WiFi strength but says disconnected from WiFi.

Delayed Alerts & Frustrating App
The motion detection is consistently delayed, making it unreliable when it matters most. Notifications often arrive well after the person has already left, defeating the purpose of a security system. On top of that, the app is slow, buggy, and frustrating to use. It frequently lags, takes too long to load live view, and the overall user experience is poor. I expected much better from a home security company. I wouldn’t recommend this app unless these issues are fixed.

The Worst Product I’ve bought
The cameras get disconnected each time and take ages to connect . There is solid lag even with the latest WiFi technology range and 1GBPs network speed.
Lagging and Unresponsive
The front door camera has a delay in notifying when there is movement. 90% of the videos have an error and you can’t view them or save them. I expected better. The in house camera doesn’t acknowledge when I turn it on or off. For how expensive the kit is, I am really disappointed
Gone to Hell
I’m not sure what happened in the past few months but all my
Cameras have gone to hell and won’t detect motion of 3 people walking through my yard and on my porch and in my house. All 3 cameras didnt detect it. Also, audio cuts off or videos freeze after 7-8 seconds of video. The system used to be good but it is really bad now. Will be switching soon, this is pointless not catching 3 adults on 3 cameras in 3 different areas with motion set on the highest sensitivity level and “all motion”

Very Slow. iWatch app never works.
Arming or disabling the system is very slow from the iphone. It’s quicker just to run up the stairs and disarm it.
iwatch version doesn’t work 98% of the time. I have maybe gotten it to work 2 times. It never responds just cycles through waiting and waiting. Usually give up and go arm or disarm the system manually.
UPDATE: Have now had to get TWO different base stations within a few months - both had problems. Now on a THIRD base station which fails to connect with the keypad and other hardware.
Don’t waste your time. This system is rubbish and cust support is non existent.

Horrible connection
I have extremely fast internet. But the connectivity only lags when we need to use our cameras or system. Horrible to deal with when you’re relying on safety.
Video Doorbell Pro
I would love if the app could automatically pop up the live stream from the video doorbell pro on my screen when someone rings the doorbell. If you add that feature, my rating would go to 5 stars.

Must have subscription 40 month for cameras to work… no matter what you read online about SimpliSafe. Cancelled subscription.. customer service totally no help at all.
Low quality products
Several items sent to me have been of poor quality. For example, the power adapter for the outdoor camera is made of two parts. While trying to disconnect it one day, the prongs stayed plugged while the rest of the piece came off. Also, a smartlock worked for about two months and haven’t been able to get help from Simplisafe for repair. Additionally, I’m constantly replacing batteries. Overall, it hasn’t been a great experience for me.

The camera battery is fake and do i need to subscribe to see recorded videos so stupid don’t buy simplysafe devices buy ARLO at least you can see recent videos with 2k cameras
Solar scam
We paid for professional installation and were told where the cables needed to be placed. This area was beyond the reach of the cables provided. The installers sent through Sjmply Safe said they would send solar panels due to the placement of the cameras. Calling simply safe they offered me 50% off- when asking about this they said there were no notes about this and then went to full price. Do not deal with these scammers who are looking at their bottom line- check out Vivint or another local operator. Mistake is on me.

Doesn't work in sideways mode iPad
Can you guys make this app work on an iPad in sideways mode? Have a dedicated iPad used as a home controller, mounted sideways on wall, and this app does not work that way.
Live view
App hangs on loading live view. Works good on my android phone so I know my system is ok

App uses notifications to spam you about promotions. This is a violation of Apple rules
