Back to square one: AL501
The Smart lock works great, this app does control the lock well and I can see live video and the quality is great, night time as well. App is straight forward and I do like the layout, video quality, two-way audio and ease of setting passwords and finger prints.
I would be recommending this product to all my friends as the device is great and there is no monthly charge for the app.
10/1/25 Update: recent update has fixed all my previous issues and I’m completely happy with this device and app service.
12/1/26 Update: the lock battery keeps dying but is actually charged, admin password does not work and cannot hard reset the device. It will not connect to the app anymore and does not lock.
I wasted $300 on hardware that has no working software plus a buttload of issues since the September 2025 update.

WiFi Bluetooth Look
Bugs, bugs and more bugs. This app has so many bugs or incomplete functionality that it is unusable.
Basic essentials are missing
Wow, I can’t do the most basic things with this app. For example, I can unlock the door but I can’t lock the door. I was notified someone was at my door but there is no record of it and no way for me to access the video. The date time stamp is wrong and no way to adjust it. Many basic settings I cannot do from the app, but can at the door. That’s the whole reason for the app! Software developers really need to clean this up! Very little thought went into the development of this app.

You need to get us access to change the timezone or input the time for this lock. All videos were captured with incorrect time, that's why there is playback error
Mixed feelings
2ND UPDATE: I couldn’t stop of course bc this lock is installed. My family’s security and safety is at risk So I begin to TS everything at this point because it’s just not making sense and the problem was tUPDATED: Totally blofee I thought I was lit for a second I had emailed customer service and they responded. They asked me for purchase order make model and problem. Well it’s a Wednesday gift and the person passed away who gave it to us. Radio silent it has gone. No one has yet to respond afín. Do not purchase and God knows, do not gift! I’m on the market looking for another lock. This lock is installed and our safety is at stake
At first, I thought this was the best Lock since sliced bread. But I am in agreement with the other review and saying that this device plays any video that it chooses to play. And now I am trying to do the update and receiving a device error. So meanwhile, I can’t update the lock for whatever reason. I cannot find any customer service information, and this lock was not a cheap lock. I expect someone to look at this review and to make a way to contact me before I go to social media with this.
