Confusing, stressful and complicated to use
The updated Arriva bus app is significantly more complicated and less user-friendly than the previous version.
Instead of making it easier to plan journeys, it now focuses heavily on ticket zones and areas, which makes simple trips from one location to another confusing and unclear. The journey planner also frequently shows errors or fails to load routes, which adds further frustration when trying to plan travel.
For everyday users, especially those who just want to quickly check a route and buy a ticket, the app no longer feels intuitive or practical. It requires more time and effort to complete tasks that used to be straightforward.
Using this app has caused me a lot of stress and I can’t even purchase tickets on it, as it gives me anxiety on the possibility of accidentally purchasing the wrong tickets or not all tickets I need.
A simple and very clear design/lay out focused on clear journey planning (A to B) rather than zones would make a huge difference and improve accessibility for all passengers.

Abysmal and Minus 5 Stars - Yes the bus has timetables but that’s it. There’s no live tracking of bus services therefore it’s Completely useless! I live in an area where there’s only two busses an hour and not having track ability is absolutely pointless to me! Bring back the old app!!!!!

This app is awful! It suggests journeys that are far longer than necessary! A terrible “upgrade” it’s so much harder to us and doesn’t give you the easiest journeys

sometimes the buses won’t even show up or the bus times are inaccurate. old version was better

the new version is awful, hard to use, always wrong, can’t see where the buses are, can’t buy tickets as easily way harder to use nothing wrong with the old app
Worse than old app
I’m confused how they’ve managed to bring out a new app but it’s worse than the old one. Old one wasn’t perfect but it was infinitely better than this one.

Useless app and bus service
Terrible app that never displays accurate information. Arriva is just rubbish overall, rude drivers and terrible service. Not impressed.

The new App is a much better more fluid interface. And is very stable. No error messages coming up. The app is very similar to the Trawscrymru app. That I also use. I actually think it works far better than their app.

Why doesn’t it show if a bus is running late when you select a stop and view the departures? It used to in every other version of this app that’s ever existed 😂

This app is horrible, hard to get through and it takes ages to load. This bus company needs to be shut down it’s horrible
As long as Arriva operate buses, any app is redundant
This app shows you live, your bus diverting a different way, despite no alerts on the app.
As long as overweight, miserable men are driving these buses, Arriva will not employ the most effective method of communication: telling someone.
A driver drove past me today that could have easily rolled the window down to let me know he was not coming back past the stop I was at. He chose ignorance. So I choose driving myself, and never giving way to an Arriva bus for the rest of my life, in the hope it makes those drivers as miserable as they make other people.

BAD BUSES, BAD DRIVER, EVERYTHING IS BAD!!!!
first of all my bus broke down(the school buses always break down) then the driver told us 20 mins after(and only because someone asked him) and told us that the bus would take 25minutes for an engineer to come fix it. then we left and everyone had to walk down and wait for another bus. but guess what? the unreliable bus just had to come late, and had to be full. the next one came late but we luckily got on. tell me why all together it took 1 hour for it to come!! this happened on a school service which makes it worse for students! but then the drivers are either really kind,let’s u on for free or gives u a reduced fair. The others miss ur stop, make u pay a lot of are just rude. Which this bus did

Hello, thanks for your review. To view bus times in the app, you can search for a stop by name or select one directly on the map. The departures section will then show upcoming services with a live countdown based on the bus’s GPS rather than just the timetable. If you use the same stops regularly, adding them to favourites can make it quicker and easier to access bus times without searching each time. We appreciate you sharing this feedback. – Chloe
Not an Upgrade a serious Downgrade
The new app is awful. Very complicated to use. Doesn’t even allow you to easily save your favourite, frequent journeys. The live tracking is equally a frustrating and doesn’t seem to work accurately at all. Still the same old rubbish waiting to see if the buses actually turn up or now… this time though you don’t even have an app to tell you the service has been cancelled. Beyond rubbish
