Worst App ever
Massive congratulations to Arriva, the last app was atrocious, this one is somehow even worse, a true feat of app engineering. Bus stops don’t appear, bus locations aren’t accurate, you have to restart the app several times to get basic bus information. Just seriously impressively bad.
Useless
Nonsense and doesn’t do what you want it to do ☠️ if the bus is late the app becomes useless. I can’t see the point of an app that doesn’t work. The developers should hide their heads in shame. I hope they wasn’t paid for this

Bus info isn’t live, app just glitches, tracking doesn’t work. Should go back to old app
Hard to Use
Bus tracking doesn’t work unless the bus is in the same street as I already am.
App is harder and more confusing to use than before.
You HAVE to know where the exact bus stops are you want to get on/off are, otherwise it’s impossible to plan your journey.
Keeps suggesting longer routes for journeys.

Location NOT needed !!!
Stop pestering me to turn on location! I know where I AM, I just want to type that in and then where I want to go to ! Job done!

Very good app
Logs you out randomly
It has logged me out randomly 3 times, and you don’t notice until you get on the bus and try to get your ticket up. I asked the driver if I could just get on while I log back into my account and then scan my ticket once I’m logged in, but they refused and said I need to scan it before I get on. And I didn’t have time to be messing around with passwords and bad signal, so I had to buy another bus ticket even though I already had a 4weekly ticket on my account! Ridiculous.

New App
The new app is far more accurate than the previous app when tracking buses. There are a few changes when tracking but once I got used to it I’m using it all the time.
not user friendly
the old app was much easier to navigate and you could give a much vager idea of where you were/ wanted to go. Now, you have to know the specific bus stop that you want to leave/ arrive at to actually get the bus times. If you don’t know the area, it’s awful to find out where you’re going.
Features
This is a life saviour as I did not know the exact time the bus would be there. Also bus drivers are as nice as always especially with the change of apps
Arriva Bus App clashes with Apple Pay Wallet
I have reported this issue a few times now but no resolution has been forthcoming - the app will clash with my Apple Wallet App when trying to scan my M-ticket on some of Arriva buses. I have been told by Arriva “Turning off the NFC settings would help this stop happening, as it isn't something we can do to stop it from happening, as the NFC is built into the firmware of your mobile device”, whereas everyone knows it’s not possible to turn off NFC on an iPhone. It needs sorting out - the developer ought to request “Suppress Apple Wallet” certificate from Apple to prevent this clash from occurring.

Waste
Wasted my time downloading this app. Doesn’t work. If I compared it to the old Arriva app. The old one would come out on top
Mostly excellent
After a number of iterations, this version is a great improvement on some of the older versions. I think the map is clear and the bus locations and direction easy to see. I find the interface intuitive and easy to navigate. Of course, not all is perfect! For some reason some of the buses I use (around Derby) are marked as Cancelled when they are not! Also the tracking isn't 100% as buses can appear and disappear from the map. Also, as someone else pointed out, if you tap on a bus on the map I would like to be taken to the bus stop list showing both where the bus is and where I am waiting.

Worse than the original
The old app was so much better. The Ui on this barely work and the tacking for the busses doesn’t work so you can’t tell if a buss was early or running late because the times are also wrong 90% of the time. The apps more complicated to use than the last one for no reason.
Live tracking works most of the time but not enough
You can’t say it’s live tracking if the bus doesn’t turn up , the number 2 just doesn’t turn up sometimes. Ariva has been running buses for 46 and can’t figure out how to get a bus to where it’s supposed to be on time , how can it be called live tracking if the bus is due but there isn’t one within 30 min of me.

Totally ruined the app
The old app worked fine, this new one is incredibly confusing and unreliable, all the stops have different names and are hard to find, bus times are not accurate and I’ve had several buses not turn up despite being on time. Rubbish.
Non existent buses
In some places, it will just completely lie about buses, and it’s not that the bus didn’t show up, it’s that if you check a different bus stop on the same route as the bus your looking for, it’ll have a completely new bus schedule for the same bus only a stop apart. Bring back old app
Departures
After the recent update, when I tap departures of bus 3 or 4 in Hemel Hempstead nothing happens. The next screens do not open!!!
Using the No 7 bus
If I’m going to Durham your app suggest I get a bus from my home DL5 4SZ to Durham. It suggests that instead of walking just a few yards from where I live.0.8 of a mile in the wrong direction for 16 minutes to get the bus from Brafferton Close, Woodham, instead of getting the bus at Woodham way 302 feet 40 seconds away.
It’s the same coming from Darlington, the app and on line suggest that I get off the bus at Brafferton Close and walk 16 minutes to my home rather than 40 seconds.
I have no confidence whatsoever in your Arriva app.
