Leaving

It used to be a great app and saved me from buying WHOOP but since upgraded to iPhone 17 pro and updated Athlytic to the latest version it crumbled; no updated data about recovery, sleep, exertion etc. Not reading workouts or showing trends so it lost its glory. Not for me anymore 👋

Best health app

I’ve used Athlytic since I got my Apple Watch several years ago. Gives very accurate data and suggestions based on that data.

A godsend during my recovery from pneumonia

I discovered a completely different use for Athlytic: recovering from pneumonia!

ChatGPT suggested Athlytic to me when I was trying to figure out how to safely manage my activity while recovering. What I expected to be a fitness app became an incredibly helpful tool throughout my seven-week recovery.

The Exertion score was particularly valuable. I could literally watch it climb while I was doing what seemed like very little—walking the dog, doing a few things around the house, or other normal daily activities. It helped me understand that even though something felt minimal, my recovering body was still working hard. That made it much easier for me to recognize when I had done enough and needed to rest.

I also loved watching my Recovery and Battery scores and trends. Over time, they gave me another way to see that I really was improving, even when the progress felt frustratingly slow.

Seven weeks later, I finally woke up feeling like myself again—and Athlytic showed a 100% Recovery score and 100 Battery. It was wonderful to have the way I felt and the data finally saying the same thing!

Athlytic has been a godsend during my recovery. I came to it because of ChatGPT, and I’ve learned how useful it can be not only for deciding when to push—but, just as importantly, when not to.

And now that I’m finally feeling like myself again, I’m looking forward to using Athlytic for its more traditional purpose—getting back to cycling and running! 🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Why the change in Athlytic age

I have been a long time paid member. The app used to be 5 stars until you made the change to the Athlytic age and took away the slider bars for the bottom half. That really helped with my goals because of that I’m giving this app 3 stars. Please fix that.

Great App

Wonderful insights and great way to keep track of your health

It works!

I have used Athlytic with my Apple Watch & Apple Health and MyFitnessPal to lose 70+ lbs & cut my body fat in half or more. The Athlytic app is easy to use and easier to understand while being well-supported & designed. Lots of data for those of us who want to really dig into details, but also useful for those who just want results. If you are willing to do the work, Athlytic will help guide you to success. Thanks!

Life Changing

I am a regular guy in my early 50’s trying to stay in decent shape. I bought this app to get useful insights from all the data my Apple Watch collects. It revealed to me what was destroying my sleep and it’s helped me to work out more effectively. It’s the first thing I look at each morning and it’s enabled me to get better rest and recovery than I’ve had in years.

Inconsistent

Rest metric never works, have had multiple nights with no metrics. Not worth the money.

Not very accurate

This does not align with how I feel at all. For example, I have felt great training all week and the app has told me my recovery has been 30-45%. This morning is the first day all week that I have been 100% recovered (according to the app) and I am incredibly sore and tired from a hard workout yesterday. It’s telling me that my cardiovascular fitness has decreased with it most definitely has not. In fact, it’s better than it has been in a while. I feel great on long runs (5+ miles) I do sleep with my apple watch and have changed the settings to what is recommended but I still find this to be wildly inaccurate.

AMAZING!

This app tells you everything you need to know about your health in an easy digestible way. Couldn’t recommend more!

Love the details

I’m currently in training for a tournament. I thought I would try a more analytical approach than in past. I gave this app a shot, and it works amazingly! The pairs perfectly with my Apple Watch. Days I would mentally try to push my body and potentially get injured, when this app says don’t train, I enjoy a rest day. Also, days that I’m tired and I open up the app and it says I should train, it gives me that little bit of motivation I need.

Sucks: Everything is behind paywall!

Nothing to see in the app because virtually everything is behind paywall!

Made my day! Makes the Apple Watch better than a Garmin

The Apple Watch gathers lots of data but does nothing much with it.

This app solves this problem!

The data provided and its analysis helps you make more informed training decisions, particularly around recovery and training load. It helps you see if you are being consistent, the types of workouts you do (intensity).

The only thing I’d like is maybe a fitness test reminder- like a step test on a bike or something with some facility to put in your result to see how the training the app has analysed has produced the desired result.

Longshot- buy the Hevy app too so my two favourite fitness apps are completely integrated and it can take into account the rpe/reps in reserve I provide in the Hevy app.

A sad aside- this app only exists by the good graces of apple overlords- not much to stop them integrating these features in their own software- but I guess the features aren’t mainstream enough to them….

Don’t let Apple buy you haha

Love it

Great insights analyzing my overall data. Would highly recommend

Conflicting figures

The app constantly conflicts itself.

Whether it says I’ve recovered fully and then I click for further info and it says recovery is only partial or it says that my battery is 100 but recovery is extremely low.

I often find that this app is hard to read and the AI assistant doesn’t really help either..

Ok

The stats I’m given are almost always the opposite of what my body is telling me!

Расширяет функционал от Apple

Setting the bar

What an excellent example of what a great iOS app can be like. It looks great, has fantastic functionality, is useful, and really puts the Apple Health app to shame. No notes!!!

Great app

This is a great app that works and looks great too!
