Why pay for something you force me to use?
We pay for 360 for my company and now to log in you want $40.00 each a year. Ridiculous!

I am obligated to use the Authenticator app to be able to open my Microsoft computer in my home using company VPN. And for that I will be charged $49 per year, for a mandatory security step that I don’t even care if it’s available or not.

Deceptive App and No Refund!
I was searching for the Microsoft Authenticator app, and this “Authenticator App” showed up at the top of the search results with a 2.5 average rating. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize it was the wrong app until after I accidentally purchased the annual subscription. Many other users have reported this app as deceptive, and I wish I had seen those warnings sooner.
When I tried to cancel and request a refund, Apple refused. I have not used this app at all, yet they still won’t refund my money. This app feels like a trap. Be very careful and double-check before downloading. I would give it zero stars if I could!

Weeks after I posted my original review warning others about this app, I received a generic response from their support team that offered no actual help or accountability. Instead of addressing the deceptive nature of how this app appears in search results or offering any path to a refund, they just repeated that all purchases require user authorization and that I should be more careful next time.
That’s not support — that’s deflection.
I still have not used this app at all. Apple refused my refund, and the developer clearly isn’t interested in resolving the issue either. This feels more like a trap than a legitimate service. If you’re looking for Microsoft Authenticator, this is not it. Be careful and double-check before you end up in the same situation.

Edited to add: After submitting a negative/1 star review, the developer keeps spamming me trying to sell a subscription to the app that I hate. Now I hate it even more.
My go daddy email account is forcing me to add two factor. I download the app and start trying to figure it out. So far, every time I try to do something it prompts me to upgrade to pro. Won’t let me continue without the $50 annual plan. Then, less than three minutes after I download the app, it asks me for a review. Based on my experience so far, I hate everything about it.

It doesn’t let me log in to my email for work, so frustrating

I can’t even scan the QR code to set up my college account because they want me to pay first. Guess I don’t need it that badly!
Horrible customer service!
I accidentally chose the wrong Authenticator and Apple Pay charged my card. I immediately realized it and canceled the subscription but Apple Pay won’t give me my money back. Terrible!!
