Overall not bad but one major improvement needed
Fix the return to charging station function. That is not someone clicking to wait 30 minutes for it to decide to stop mowing and go back to its charging station, that is find the boundary wire and follow it immediately to the charging station. It’s been bugging me the entire time I’ve owned this and literally just had to pick up the mower and carry it the entire length of my yard and set it in front of the charging station so I didn’t get ran over by a mower trying to do things in my yard.

Good but satellite not reliable
The mower is a great mower but I wish I’d got by wire rather than sat nav. It get stuck a lot and I need to manual rescue it and reset it at least once a week. It also loses the satellite frequently.

You need to update the firmware so that when a temporary keep out zone is created, the mower does not throw up 'destination unreachable' error!

Would be better to show completed areas on the app. I have 3 separate areas. Nd don’t know when each area is complete and sometimes send the mower to same area a couple of times a day
Goes wrong a lot...
It's fantastic when it works, but in four years I've had two PCBs in the charging station, a new charger, various bits of burnt out cable, new charging plates, one unknown fault under warranty. Repair bills now well into four figures. Currently not working, reporting loop error. Husqvarma's help line says take it to a repair centre.
Based on break downs I could not recommend a purchase.

Could be better
The mowers are great and the app is good but why on earth don't you put a log of where the mower has been mowing and what day and time.
If you have lots of different areas to mow there is no way of knowing!?

Terrible, absolutely NOT recommended
Absolutely horrendous, frustrating and unreliable. Bought this particularly for the mobile app so I can turn on and off when I want. The app has been glitchy from day 1, now it stopped working altogether. Customer service is only available M-F 9-5 I helpful just reading off some scripts. Referred me to some local service, did absolutely nothing besides a cleanup, still not working and I will probably put this in the trash. Terrible product and app, would absolutely not recommend.

Looks good but not robust
App user interface is good. The connection to the mower is weak. It drops regularly and you often have to restart the app. Rather than adding relatively useless functionality additions and marketing promostions, the development team needs to be focused on making the link between the app and the mower more robust.

Waste of money
I bought this last summer, I have not been able to appropriately utilize it as it constantly goes over my flowerbeds despite a boundary wire being placed. I’ve called customer service numerous times with no help. It is ruined several plants and shrubs, despite the boundary wire being up and having 8 inches of margin to move within even the flower bed and still somehow it moves past the boundary wire to 2 1/2 to 3 feet across the boundary

Doesn’t work, too many problems
Awful model: looses satellite signal even in the middle of the lawn, doesn’t return to its base and misses chunks of lawn. Wish I never bothered.
Basic but stable
The app is OK and does most of what you expect, reliably. One annoying bug makes it impossible to change my NERA 405VE from imperial to metric units of measure. The feature exists in the app but has absolutely no effect.
Update: since a firmware update of the mower a few days ago, my phone can’t access any settings on the mower at all!!

Grass looks great, having mapping issues
After working great for a couple of months, the mower is getting stuck often saying charging station is blocked.
Problem with update?
With the latest update, the ability to change cutting height seems to have disappeared?

Easy to use. But could use a couple of features;
1. Ability to suspend a zone for heavy yard work, tree removal, etc
2. Change the color of a zone to show progress, along with the percentage mowed.

Suddenly Unreliable
This app has worked very well for the past several years. However, after this recent update it either won’t load any of my mowers or takes several minutes or more to load them. Been having to manually control them from the keypad on the mower itself which is extremely inconvenient. Please fix this issue.

Until Husqvarna makes its app and overall functionality for set up, it will be reviewed as sub-par. It has s 2026. Time for Husqvarna to hire a tech team and start from scratch.

Simplifying lawn care
The EPS 550 has definitely simplified my lawn care he can work day and night can mow in my large zero turn can’t mow due to wet ground and just helped me maintain my lawn. My critiques would be he continually has map errors so he’ll go to the docking station and stay there until I stop and restart him and I have to do that manually at the mower versus on the app.
