We completely understand how important landscape orientation is, especially for tablet users with keyboards. Working in portrait mode on a larger device can feel limiting, and your point about optimizing for real business use makes perfect sense. At present, the Timesheets app is designed for vertical orientation, but we recognize how much value proper landscape support would bring to users like yourself.
