Just wants your personal data

Requires you input your personal data in exchange for… no work anywhere near my location.

WAY better than Instawork!

I've been using Instawork for 8 months and have completed 60 shifts though their platform. I have excellent ratings and reviews. (I'm Top Gold or Platinum Pro).

A clear pattern has emerged: Instaworkers are treated like expendable idiots and the businesses who post jobs with incorrect info are NEVER held accountable. The worker is ALWAYS blamed, INSTANTLY penalized and guilty until proven innocent.

If Instawork were a personality, it would be an extremely jealous and insecure partner who has deep trust issues and assumes the very worst of any and every situation and crashes-out at the tip of a hat.

This has been a clear pattern from my first shift 8 months ago, to my 60th shift this week.

I spend several hours over days resolving issues in 'support' chats going around in circles with AI overlord bots and their human pets who both exhibit extremely poor reading comprehension skills. You essentially do their job or tell them how to do their job but you don't get paid.

Instawork prioritizes their business partners over their workers. They do not hold businesses accountable for posting incorrect information or for cancelling shifts. This leads to all kinds of frustrating issues, in which the worker is ALWAYS to blame and suspended.

I recently tried Bacon and the quality, quantity, frequency and proximity of work is WAAAAAAAY better!
Finding and booking a shift is just THREE taps.
1. Search
2. Select/Review
3. Book.
BOOM—DONE! Book a shift in seconds.

My biggest issue with Bacon is deciding WHICH shift to take. Always multiple open shifts any given day. (Salt Lake City/Wasatch Front)

Bacon treats you like an equal trusted ADULT partner.

No endless scrolling though checklists, making promises, taking oaths, swearing-ins, policy reviews, threats, reminders, uniform uploads, quizzes, enabling location tracking and signing your name...JUST to book a shift (that is now no longer available because the process takes too long).

The InstaWork booking process is 10-20 taps and 3-4 screens AT LEAST.

Bacon Workers and Bacon businesses connect in-person, human to human. The person who posted the shift is usually the person you greet when you walk in the door of the business.
There doesn't seem to be 3 middle-men with a ton of details lost in translation. Clock-ins also always just work. (They're usually an issue with Instawork).

Of the 10 or so Bacon shifts I've worked in the last three weeks, so far, everything just worked and has gone smoothly. You also get paid in just two days for only 1%. Instapay is 3-5%
Soooo refreshing after being a prisoner in the InstaGulag for the past 7 months.

THANK YOU BACON!

Developer is kind, the experience has gotten smoother

Half brained setup

Quizzes to determine skills are a joke and subjective, to say the least… app handles like a tank, slow and grinding. Use the website instead. Edit: it took them over a year to respond to this issue… haha!

Dumb App

So they make you fill out all of this info to find jobs, but there are none in my zip code and they force you to search by zip code instead of area. I should be able to search before giving you all of my information to at least see if anything is available. What a waste of time. There isn't even a way to see your account in the app so now I have to figure out how to close my account on the web. Again, what a waste of time.
