My dogs have been with this office since the beginning and always been very friendly and supportive all the time. Doctor Benjamin is always there for us and I consider him a great professional.
“Updated” App is a Big step backwards
The look and feel is great - as is the aspirational functionality, but there is clearly something amiss with the architecture here. The app and the website are laggy, slow to respond and often don’t work at all. It can’t access data in a timely way on the backend on the regular. The app dev team clearly knows they have major challenges here. Tons of potential, but right now, it’s just an embarrassment and a huge source of friction for many. (Don’t think it’s not a topic of conversation in offices where staff and other customers are more than forthcoming about shared frustrations)

Unbearably Long Wait Times
I’m sad to have to change my review because I remember being absolutely delighted with how easy this app made keeping track of my pets’ records and appointments. It used to be slow, but then they improved so much, and it honestly seemed perfect! This new update though… jeez. It seems like there was a big overhaul, which is cool and all. Shiny new features and interface, very pretty. Except now the app has been rendered useless with load times that literally exceed my phone’s auto lock feature. If it takes 15-20 minutes to make an appointment or check records, I might as well call them directly or pull out my laptop to do it online. Please do fix the processing time, it’s abhorrent

Can it be any slower?
I love that all my information is at my fingertips but it is absolutely the slowest app and website. It feels like I am trying to access our pet information via a dial-up server. If I didn’t like the doctors I’d switch to a different pet hospital. Who has hours to spend trying to access their pet’s data or try to book an appointment?

This app sucks. It’s nice when it works but every time you want to do anything it just stops working. They need a better server to handle the app. It’s slow and glitches. I literally have the app opened and nothing is populating. I’ve tried several times. This isn’t the first nor the last.
We love banfield
We absolutely love the app, but also love the staff at Banfield especially Dr. T. She loves our girl so much!

Banfield is great, app is meh
None of my appointments ever show under any tab, I have to go to my browser to locate them. The app is extremely slow and hard to use, mostly pretty useless as I have to go to my browser to accomplish anything.

The app takes forever to load! Even tho I select “keep me logged in” it does not so I am constantly having to resign in and the initial log in takes forever. Once I am in and the information on the main page loads, any time I have to switch to a different section that page will then take a long time as well. This has all been since they last changed the layout and look. My pets information from their last visit also did not update on the app for days when it used to be in with in 24 hours. Terrible and wish it had never been “updated”

I love Banfield but I hate this app with a passion it’s so hard making an account or even logging in when you forget user or password and it throws me in a loop telling me to find a client id when I try to make a new account it’s very indirect I’m so lost I had to delete it.

App is not up to date?
I have two dogs that both need vaccine updates. Booking two appts seems crazy, the shots take less than 5 minutes, but I was told I had to… so I had to find 2 consecutive evening appointments for vaccinations… and they couldn’t book over the phone because they couldn’t see the same appointments the app had, and the app was “not really valid” as I was told.
Why have an app that isn’t really reliable if we just have to call anyway? And why have full appointments for simple vaccinations? We could be using one room… not taking up as much time or space.
I am less in love with the whole Banfield appointment process. Seems like every time there is something that is barring the way of making it easier for working families who can’t always get to the vet during the day, or maybe have anxious dogs and don’t love the idea of dropping them off for every visit.
Do better Banfield. Make us feel less like a number and more like real people and our pets like real patients.
