Once a great site
I have used this app for 7years but lately it seems to be full of problems. Payments from wechat are not going through. The advertised prices are more expensive when you try and buy them and the advertised products differ from what is expected. What hasn’t changed is your great service when I contact you but it is getting tiring with all the mistakes. It seems to me you are penalising (besides always being more expensive) or maybe even trying to get rid of your international buyers

EASY
I visit China every now and then and find Baopals a good replacement to my US online shopping service. It’s so easy to use and it’s especially useful if you are not fluent in Chinese yet because you can choose English as your default language.

Hopeless. Rarely works. Keeps telling you to try again later. Huge time waster
The APP doesn’t work
The APP no longer works. Hangs up on starting screen - sometimes says that there’s no internet connection, there is, after a few minutes.

Indispensable app for foreigners
I have no way of even getting my foot in the door with TaoBao with how restrictive Chinese apps are getting. This allows me to quickly and easily purchase gifts for my Chinese girlfriend without worrying about all the logistics and privacy violation of dealing with TaoBao

Makes life much easier
Pros: everything is in English so you can use it abroad or as a foreigner in mainland China; it’s pretty easy to use and pay/track items; the customer service is the best: they get back straight away and solve any problem. Really impressed with them.
Cons: sometimes the app crashes or doesn’t work and you have to reinstall it.

Almost perfect
Whilst Baopals isn’t perfect it is an app that, in the face of the extreme challenges of online shopping in a foreign language, manages to be about as perfect as it can be and importantly, always seems to be interested in improving.
The cons are that sometimes the translations seem less than useful and searching can bring up some unexpected and useless results.
The pros are that, once you find what you’re looking for the process is simple and, best of all in my opinion, should anything go wrong there is a super-useful, efficient and polite support system to help you make it right again.

Wow!
Years of living in Hong Kong and not being able to buy on taobao because I can’t read Chinese has been very frustrating. This fixes the issue! Love it!

Very easy app to use and more importantly is the customer service. Whenever you contact them, the response time is quick and they follow up until you are happy with the outcome. Makes life here in China so much easier.

Baopals is excellent. Their customer service is quick, and very helpful, and they are quick to deal with issues if/when the arise. Having access to English speaking customer service, especially while living in China, is invaluable. It’s worth the little bit extra you pay over Taobao, for the peace of mind of knowing that what you order is going to get you quickly, and that if there are any issues, they will be easily resolved. I highly recommend Baopals.

Very helpful for expats, and international buyers
I've been using Baopals for years. They can help you get whatever you need from Taobao and Tmall if you can't read & write Chinese. There's a slight charge atop the original price but that's worth the vastly improved convenience of having full English service.
I know some people say "you can just screenshot Taobao and translate it" but that's not a good long-term solution at all. If you're going to be looking through dozens, or hundreds or products, it'll take forever. And if there's any problem with shipping; or you need something customized; or you have very specific dietary requirements (if you're buying food) that just won't cut it. Hence the importance of the English interface and assistance in communicating with sellers.
I have had some issues occasionally with getting the wrong size or model of something, but the customer service always walked me through it and got everything fixed pretty quickly. Overall, highly recommended.
