Scammers

I’ve been scammed by one of the contractors from Bark. The company only did half of my gutters,but charged me full price. I received a call that I need urgent work carried out on my roof, they were supposed to come and do it the next day, they did come, take the payment, and left without doing anything. This was confirmed by another profesional when I had suspicions about the business and the time they spent cleaning the gutters. When I reported this to Bark, they stated they can not help as it was a cash payment, they didn’t investigate and accepted that contractors are scamming customers, they haven’t removed the contractor from the website to prevent this from happening to others .They received evidence of this including CCTV. I am £750 out of pocket, with no work to show for this. The company has also now blocked my phone number, after asking for invoices and receipts for the work they supposedly carried out. I can not imagine that in these days, websites such as Bark would allow this scam to happen, I can only imagine how many people this has happened to who are unable to check if the work has been done. I work hard to provide for my family, not to have a large chunk of money taken for a scam.

Crooks/scammers Don’t use them as well as Apple Cash not refunding the scam suing both

If I couple give negative stars would they don’t get the ppl they allow on and I was scammed no refund and they have all my info Apple Cash also crooks as they denied appeals w proof

Don't download

I download this app within 48 hours. I was notified that someone else had signed into my account. I contacted the customer service team because I was unable to update my password - there is no option to do this within the app settings , despite customer service email stating there is. I was sent a link by customer service services to reset my password. The minute I clicked on that link I received a load of spam within my Outlook calendar that I am unable to delete !

Full of scams!

My experience using Bark to find professionals for my project has been incredibly frustrating.

Within hours of submitting my request, I was bombarded with more than 20 calls, emails, and text messages from people claiming to be architects, engineers, or design professionals. Many had little to no verifiable credentials, no professional websites, no license information, and no clear way to validate who they actually were.

Instead of connecting me with qualified professionals, it felt like my contact information was simply distributed to anyone willing to pay for leads. I spent more time screening questionable contacts than actually moving my project forward.

For anyone looking to hire an architect, engineer, or other licensed professional, I strongly recommend independently verifying licenses, checking references, reviewing previous work, and confirming insurance before sending money to anyone.

Based on my experience, Bark generated a flood of unsolicited contacts but very little confidence that the people reaching out were legitimate, qualified professionals. I would not use this service again for a project requiring licensed expertise.

GREEDY AND DANGEROUS

This app sells your information to whoever replies to your request there is no cool down between how many people can just attain your contact information, then if youve already filled your request and reject people whove already paid for your info they will be aggressive because YOU charged them and scammed them into believe if they paid you for my information id hire them. You over saturate the replies to requests, you should be ashamed! Why should i be punished for your shameless business practices ?! Met an amazing tutor but ill never speak positively on behalf of this website app/ ALSO YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THEIR APP TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT EVEN IF YOU CREATED IT SOLEY ON A COMPUTER SCAMMY AF PROBABLY MALWARE

Login doesn’t work

Does not allow you to login it just keeps you on a loading screen that goes nowhere. Seems to be an overall terrible experience.

Inundated with Spam Calls

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE SERVICE. I immediately started getting blasted with spam calls, emails, and texts late at night and during normal working hours. And it’s not just one call, it’s 3 with voicemails then multiple texts; all from the same number in the span of 10 minutes. I’ve had 4 different “providers” go through the same routine in less than 5 hours of having an account. Deleted and staying far away.
