Smart sump pump app

The app seems to do what it’s advertised to. I would like to be able to sort the pump cycle times from newest to oldest. Useful app and the primary reason I purchased the Wayne Halo50 sump pump.

Severely outdated

I have a basement guardian system. It’s a PITA to connect it to WiFi. The app is extremely basic and not up to any standard. The company should hire a developer instead of giving this job to their middle school kids.

Good could be better

This could be a 5 star app. It works and does the basic. Tells me the battery is good, system is on and water level in the sump crock. Now it would be 5 star if it told me the last run, how many times it’s ran in a day things like that. It tells me the last time the test was done so it should be able to track the overall run time. Put some work in and this could be top notch.

Great system, horrific app

The app is probably the worst on the AppStore. Hard to think about something that would improve it, the app has to be rewritten from scratch.

App Shows Everything

I don’t usually write reviews but this app shouldn’t be rated so low, it shows everything you need, INCLUDING the specific run times.

Maybe the other reviews are old, but if you click on “Today’s Cycles” the next page goes into specific detail on every time the pump ran and for how long.

No complaints otherwise, simple and clear interface, does what it should.

It would be cool if the app would send push notifications if the pump was stuck on or didn’t run for a specified amount of time, but I have another simple device (Sump Pump Alarm & Protector) that handles that.

Great pump app needs work

The pump install and setup went fine. The app is not showing pump cycles, although it is showing water level and test results. Tried working with customer service on 2 calls, but they wanted me to camp out at the pump in the basement to note the times when the pump cycles. Also, when tapping on the app interface it zooms and needs to closed to get back to normal function. I’m a web strategist, and can say…the app needs a lot of work!

Graphical user interface easy setup

I use this with my Wayne Halo pump
Extremely easy installation
I had the pump installed
Connected to WiFi and the app running in 15 minutes
Fantastic application

Too many false alarms make system unreliable

While it’s better to get false alarms than to have the system fail to notify of a real failure, I find it concerning how frequently I receive false alarms - while most are false loss of Wifi notifications, two have been “critical issues” that direct me to “replace your pump immediately!” And these all happened in the first few months after installing the new pump. Neither was a critical issue - just unplug from power and replug pump and all seems fine (unknown glitch?). But I have lost confidence of an alarm being a reliable indicator of an actual problem. I dread going on vacation and receiving the “critical issue” alarm, not knowing whether I’ll return home to a flooded basement or just need to reset the pump. Further, the app stopped tracking my pump’s usage a few weeks ago, so there is no more tracking performance/frequency which is a main reason for buying this pump. It seems Wayne pumps are high quality, but the app and electronic reporting has a VERY long way to go to live up to its intended purpose. When the app was working, it seemed great, but lately the app is nearly useless due to these clear flaws.

Poor app

I downloaded this app for my Basement Guardian system, and cannot find any history as depicted on the screen shots. The app does not even reliably show when the pump is running. Very disappointed, should be better for a $2,000 system.

Have to login every time

App makes me login every time I want to use it instead of saving my login and acting like a normal app. This is more like a bookmark to a website than an actual iOS app. Please fix.

Great, but app needs more features added!!!

I’ve had the system for a few weeks now and performance seems top notch, however, it would be sooooo useful if the app could provide historical information of pump function. For example, average run time, run times per day, etc. It is a beautiful system, but it lacks these functions to make it perfect. I hope customer feedback is appreciated.

Great pump good app

Need more historical information. For example how often the primary pump runs. How many total minutes or hours the pump has ran. This info is important to plan on replacements

Best Basement Protection Available!!!

Not only is the Basement Guardian the best possible backup system on the market, this app gives me the peace of mind to know exactly what is going on with my system. If you never want your basement to flood this system and app is a must!

Best combo on the market!

Amazing sump combo system!

Simple to use

Wow this product is amazing! It has saved my finished basement during one of the worst storms, and what was even better is that the power was out but it was still protected and I was able to check this on my phone from my bedroom!

Needs One Major Improvement

The main thing this app is missing is the ability to see the history of the primary pump running. It already shows the last run for the backup pump, so it should be very easy to add the same feature for the primary. From there they can get into all sorts of data; similar to what the Level Sense system offers. It is incomplete until this is added.

Its a good start. Needs some improvement.

I bought the Wayne Basement Guardian system for my home. I love it, though it is very expensive. The app works ok for the most part. A few times i had to re-do to installation process through the app. Once calling Wayne Pumps customer support, i was provided by email a much more detailed trouble shooting instructions. So for the most apart the app works as advertised. It provides me all the data to monitor my water levels and pump operation.

I'd like to see a few updates to this app, maybe to add a few features in the future. (I would love to know how often the pump cycles, the interval between cycles) to better gauge how often the pump runs and how often. I live in a high water table area, this would be valuable to me. Otherwise, Im generally pretty happy with this app and the Basement Guardian.
