Worth it for chemo patients

My oncologists recommended a “quality of life” journal. It was too tricky to track with paper and pen. The app developers have done a great job considering what someone with chronic illness or undergoing chemo might need to track. There are more than enough baseline tracking points, but also flexibility to create your own tracking points for data that matters to you.

Amazing

This is exactly what I needed. As someone who deals with chronic illness, specifically pain and fatigue. This makes it so easy to track symptoms flares and causes. And it doesn’t require the brain power that some apps do so even if you’re having a bad day with being able to think clearly you can still log everything

The Health Tool Of A Lifetime

This app is amazing for quickly tracking your health symptoms and offers so many more options such as medication tracking. I love how customizable this app is to each individual. The only suggestion I would make so far is to allow users to add in their own medication list as some medications are not available to document. GET THIS APP!!! You do not have to pay a dime to use it for free and the functions are still extremely useful!

Bearable is bearable

The bear has not yet offended me 🐻‍❄️❤️

Grateful knowing

I was told about this app by a Doctor friend of mine. It has been very helpful with regarding the events happening to my nervous system and body. Being able to track these events has helped me medically and the doctors.

Bearable is fantastic

I'll keep it brief: I began using Bearable a week ago to track my GI issues and it has been so easy to use. The UX is flexible, the reminders are actually helpful, and I even learned a little bit about stool types just from using the app!

so helpful and easy to use!

glad to have downloaded this app to track my symptoms and manage my health!

This app is really great it’s help me over come my adhd

Very good

Very helpful for when writing in a diary daily is boring/forgetful, easy and quick to do, good for tracking medication intake too.

Incredible app - so helpful and user friendly!

I’m sad I didn’t find this app sooner it is literally life changing. Easiest way to keep track of medication and a very comprehensive but easy to use symptom tracker to help keep track of daily issues to keep my specialist informed when appointments come around. I currently run the free version as I can’t afford the premium .. if I love the free version this much I can only imagine how good the premium is!

So far, so good

I just joined today but so far I am impressed with the detail of the app and the ability to individualize it.

Has many pros and just a few cons, best for chronic illness tracking

Been using bearable for a year and a half ish, haven’t found any issues. As some others have said the sleep tracking is funky but everything I personally need the app for works. I also absolutely adore the feature that lets other’s donate a subscription to random people who sign up for it. I’ve won a free month’s subscription twice now and it’s just wholesome that yall let others pay for those who can’t buy it! Most features you don’t even need premium for, and that in itself makes bearable different from other tracking apps! The paywall is mainly for long-term statistics (ex: seeing how habits affect symptoms). TL;DR: love bearable, the fact you can win a months subscription, and its general daily tracking abilities! (Although side note: I do agree with that review that said yall should actually tell us what you change in updates instead of the same copy paste that doesn’t tell us what’s changed added or adjusted)

So helpful

So so helpful to track all of the symptoms and things that go on during my day. With multiple medical issues, it’s almost impossible to track and figure it all out on your own. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Symptom Tracking App

I’ve been really enjoying Bearable! It’s easy to track symptoms, moods, and health patterns throughout the day, which is exactly what I was looking for. The app is well organized, customizable, and helps me spot trends I might otherwise miss. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a detailed but user-friendly health tracker.

Thoughtful, Flexible, and Genuinely Helpful

Bearable has become an essential part of how I manage my health. The customization levels are excellent & it helps me keep detailed records without feeling overwhelmed. Being able to look back at trends & connections between symptoms & events has been incredibly valuable 🌺

Data I can use

I have autoimmune conditions and Bearable helps me to see what could be triggering flare ups or improving my health.

Definitely needs work but it has NOT been happening

UPDATE: Posting the same comment every time you update doesn’t tell us what you’ve changed. It can actually appear misleading. Tell us the details James! | Now sleep is not syncing with Apple Health. (Feb ‘26) Today I just get a flicker in the app and data is not loading to it at all. I’ve sent an email for support but I’m very close to looking elsewhere. This has been on their map for over 5 years and continues to be an ongoing issue. I need accurate information. Fix it or I’m moving on | The developer released a new app and I found that they have had the sleep issue on their change map for 5 years now as it was approved in December 2020 yet we’re still waiting on this to be resolved. So I’m dropping a star until this, something which is logically a priority as it is everyday data and something which they’ve not finished attending to after 5 years, is resolved. | I’ve paid for a year membership and like the app overall but there are definitely a few areas that it needs to some tweaking, especially with sleep. As an app for patients with chronic conditions I would think it common that users may nap or even have unsettled sleep patterns due to their symptoms, but this seems to be a problem with recording our data accurately in Bearable as of now. I’ve reported it as a bug to the development team, received communication & have been told they are working on it but as of now it was suggested that it’s best to turn OFF sync with my Apple Health for sleep. That’s a bit disappointing but I will be cautiously optimistic for now. Hoping to see improvement in future updates which may influence if I continue to subscribe.

Response from developer

Hi, you're right we have had some feature requests on the roadmap for a long time, including more granular breakdowns of sleep patterns. These are not things we are ignoring, but we do have 100s of suggestions. We are a very small team and are community led: at the start of this year we took a wide vote on the most important features to work on next, and we delivered many of those this year. So you are absolutely right, we view this as something important, but I just wanted to say it's not because we are sitting idle! Thanks, from the Bearable team.

App I wanted! The whole thing

Included everything!

It’s okay

I’m a little confused about this app. It was presented as something where I would engage with the bear avatar more directly, but the homepage is just a bunch of statistics. This team‘s other app, Foxtale, is much more welcoming and engaging in terms of character interaction, and how that ties into the purpose of the app.

I also don’t like the pattern of forcing a free trial. Let me just use the free features to start, and maybe occasionally recommend upgrading, but don’t require a subscription right out of the gate, even if it’s one that I can cancel later.

I uninstalled this thing less than a day after installing it.

Very helpful for chronic illness

When dealing with so many symptoms cognitive and neurological issues it can be hard to remember how things are going in a day to day basis. Bearable has helped me keep track of the impact that my disability has on me so that I can give my providers a more accurate picture about what is going on. That really makes a works of difference
