has some issues
I downloaded this app so I can better restrict my Instagram usage without missing important messages. I had issues getting it to even send me my messages and notifications at first, and then eventually it worked. But then it periodically will stop giving me notifications, and customer service told me it’s because I had a device connection and not cloud connection, and the only way to switch to cloud is to remove the instagram account and log back in. Problem is, now whenever I try to log in to instagram, it meets me with a screen saying instagram will send me a verification code, not specifying on what platform/how, or giving an option to resend, therefore not allowing me to log in to instagram on beeper. Not sure what is going on with this but please fix this! I do like having this app and sometimes it works well but it randomly stops working for me and I don’t understand why.

Eigentlich eine sehr gute App. Alles an einem Ort. Ok, Nachrichten von Apple fehlt, aber das kann man verschmerzen. Leider nur auf Englisch. Mehr Sprachen wäre schon gut.

The most purposeful app
Lovely work! It is a bit unstable sometimes, but it is well worth it to be patient and navigate a few hiccups. This app is the best app and I always recommend it around me.

Great app!
I downloaded it to reduce my doom scrolling time on social media, but at the same time I wanted to keep my ability to message my friends on there. This app is perfect, it allows me to message my friends on Instagram without the risk of getting hooked by the almighty algorithm!

Love the app! It reduces my scrolling while still letting me stay connected with friends through DMs. One feature I would love to see is a search function for all Direct Msg contacts. Currently only a limited number of recent conversations appear, so if I want to msg someone who I haven’t recently chatted with, I have to switch to the offical fb or ig app to find them. Adding this would make the app more convenient.

Hi there! You should be able to initiate a new chat with any contact by using the Start a New Chat button. From there, type your contact's name and select your chat with them from the Connections section. Let us know if you have any trouble!

Instagram not working
Not sure if it’s a beeper issue or an instagram issue but when I try logging in it just keeps me in the same loop over and over, it won’t connect
One of the best apps ive used!
This is one of those apps you never thought you’d need until you find it! I was recommended by it from reddit and using it ever since! I only use it for Instagram to stop doomscrolling and it works, sometimes doesn’t but still very happy with the app

Good but disconnection glitch
I’ve really been enjoying Beeper, it allows me to access dms and even watch reels sent to me without risking doomscrolling. Recently though the reels were coming through as images rather than videos, and then instagram suddenly disconnected. Every time I try to reconnect Beeper glitches and takes me back to the instagram login prompt. Hope this bug gets fixed because I’d love to go back to it.

Notification not working?
First I love love love this app for letting me connect with people without using SNS apps, it has saved me a lot of time.
I just noticed that notifications deliver late — usually for about an hour and even up to half a day — unless I open the app. I’d appreciate it if they arrive on time without having to open the app!

We'd love to investigate this one. If you could long press on any message you got a late notification for and then select 'Report a Problem', that should send us logs that would help us identify why this happened.
All around amazing app
Deleted instagram but still wanted to be able to see my dms. Super useful and really great for getting rid of social media. Never had issues, love it keep up the great work!
IG without the reels
This is THE app on iOS to keep the DMs from IG without having to get on the app and be exposed to the rest. It works flawlessly except for one minor nitpick, and it’s sending videos. I do understand that handling large files in an app is always a complex from a development point of view, and from what I gather, Beeper uses the IG Web’s API which can be limiting. From my personal stress tests, keep your videos to about 30MB and you should be good. Also be careful of batch sending as well.
Aside from that, I enjoy using this and the devs are active with updates!

У нас в России не хватает ещё, чтоб можно было подключить vk messenger и Max messenger. Не планируете сделать? Думаю прибавилось бы много пользователей из России.
