nice app

love using that app for ranking food spots

Bug found

Ok app but bottom menu keeps disappearing when going in and out the app

Decent but needs improvement

The app is good, but there’s a couple of things holding it back:

1. Locking features away from users unless they invite new people who actually install and use it. It’s infuriating for everyone involved. And no, I’m not willing to pay a subscription to access Stealth Mode, Average Scores, Dish Search, Res Sharing, and Social Links. The first 3 are absolutely critical for an app that bases itself around being a helpful way for finding restaurants.
2. There’s no web or Mac version, which makes writing lengthy reviews difficult. I don’t want to be typing it all out on my phone just for it to disappear if I misclick.
3. The interaction for editing a saved-but-not-yet-reviewed restaurant is confusing. Sometimes I just want to edit what lists it’s in, but I have to unsave it first to resave it correctly.

A love letter too Beli🥰

Microwaved nachos Instagram ahh home scene. And It SUCKED.👹 I need your secret ingredient because if I made a home screen, it cannot SUCKK! the way this SUCK. Anyways, if you excuse me, I’m gonna go back and figure out how to leave a review because the home screen SUCK so bad🥹

REMOVE THE FAVORITE DISHES UPDATE

please remove the favorite dishes update of having the dishes be separated saved items. i like to write detailed notes in that section about each dish and now its all just an awful comma-separated list its so

Great app, but missing Michelin restaurants

Came to Beli through friends and genuinely like the interface and ranking system. But I’ve been to two Michelin-starred restaurants recently - Lu Shang Lu in Beijing and Huaiyang Delights in Shanghai - and neither exists in the app, so I couldn’t log either. What’s the point of a foodie app if your best meals of the year aren’t in it? Michelin publishes its full global list annually. Seeding that as a baseline sounds quite straightforward to me and would fix this permanently.

So many hoops

Just show the dang restaurants I don’t wanna invite friends and rate 15 eateries first… STOOOPID

How insulting

All the friends I would care to invite are already on the app. I do not wish to spam people with Invites. So I’m left with a limited app

No landscape mode

App seems like its getting too convoluted with features we dont need. The app seems more focus on making profit rather than making the app better. App doesnt have a true landscape mode on iPad.

Refer 5 Friends - The App

All the useful features are blocked behind referring 5 friends.

No one wants to have to refer other people to get a functioning app

Required four “bonus” invites —

I’m stuck on the signup screen I got a “gift” of four bonus invites before I can even see the app :/

Not for private people

This app forces you to allow notifications, plus successfully invite friends to use the app, to be able to use the full app! I would rather pay than having to do this. It’s based on a social media model.

Lacking Many Features, Influencer Focus

So many pop ups, can’t access features with getting other users to join, can’t export a list to anything other than Beli, can’t set your own rating, can’t re-rank anything that has closed. App is a dumpster fire that I so badly want to use but after years of no improvements I’m done

Great app

Easy to use and great app. Ratings are really useful to choose restaurants

Not functional

App locked me out unless I sent an SMS invite to four contacts. In other words, not functional.

Needs more than “restaurants”

I love the app in theory but it really needs more categories. Like for example, how can I possibly compare my favorite hometown diner with the fanciest restaurant I’ve been to? Apparently they both fall under “restaurants” so I have to pick. It’s really hard to rank places that you like for different reasons. And how do gastropubs fit in? Or bakeries that also serve food? The categories really need some work.

Good app but so much missed potential

There’s so much friction points of the app I wonder if anyone that works on the app actually uses it. Getting through a backlog of places feels way harder than needed. Why doesn’t it just use the photos metadata for the majority of the things I have to enter like the date, item, restaurant.

Why beli why do you do this to me

Excellent

One feature I wish it had was the option to search for restaurants that are alike. For instance, you could click on a restaurant and see five “similar” restaurants based either on meta-data or combination of meta-data and others likes who liked things like me.

Not intuitive to use

It's a good rating system in principle, but it's not intuitive to use. There's no way to simply display a list of restaurants in the area.
