great but need some adjustments
it would be really easier if you could have to option to rank the restaurant yourself instead of having to choose between the previous ones because I don’t really agree with some ratings on my own profile
Obnoxious long sign-up process
Requires you to invite someone and even after you do it it won’t continue. It wants you to invite five people. Not worth it.
Neat app but a bit grifty/shady
Fun way to track foodie things with friends, but a lot of the features are locked behind a referral system that is a bit broken (referrals don’t get credited). Tough, would have loved to use this more!
Force invite to 4 contacts
Won’t let you get past setup without inviting 4 contacts. Phrases it like “we’re giving 4 bonus invites”. Pretty scammy IMO
One annoying thing
The app is great and all and I love it but one annoying thing is that when there’s a banner notification from beli and I open it to read it, the notifications still say (1) in the app. Basically, I still have to go to the notifications tab INSIDE the app to mark my notifications complete & its not enough to open the notification from my phone banner notification to make the (1) go away.

Access is nearly difficult
I’m sorry but I came on vacation to Mexico City and wanted to use this app I heard of as a food guide; but I couldn’t even begin to access because it forces you to invite 5. People and have them accept your invitation accepted before you can access any key features of the app. Because I didn’t get. 5 people to accept my invite in time before my trip ended I couldn’t use it. Very horrible and disappointing system

Nice
Could really benefit from something to differentiate places more; it’s hard to judge say, a Vietnamese bun cha place on the side of a road versus a French michelin star restaurant in Paris. Also hate how features are locked behind invites and how I had to give up an invite at the beginning.
Gone Downhill
The app used to be great, but now there is too much emphasis on inviting friends as a way to unlock features. What do you mean I can’t see reviews until I successfully invite friends? All my friends are already on this dang app, and limiting exploration of restaurants is antithetical to the whole experience.

Black opening screen
App frequently has a black screen as of late. And fails to load even after several seconds. It’s giving a bit vibe coded.
I love Beli!
Awesome app, I love being able to rank and bookmark restaurants and see my friends choices as well! #Yummy🤪
could be better
restaurants limited to only ones on google maps, wont add restaurants that aren’t
Obnoxious
They make you put in your phone number. You need to invite people in order to gain access to use parts of the app such as other people’s reviews. Ridiculous that you don’t get access after creating an account and putting in your information. Absolutely do not recommend.
Cant figure why i waste my time and effort with this App
Have been using this app for several months if not for a year. They created features as if giving you a new restaurant reco needs you to be their servant for your life. I can’t figure what this app gives me for providing with my rankings, previews and pics of places I visit. Yet when I am in new town I can’t find an option to get recommendations based on previous Likes. I get more literal cash back rewards from my CC than what this useless app gives me for providing it my choices for free. Sick and tired of these ‘social’ apps e silicon valley that are clueless and entitled for their abysmal business ideas that provide no value to the system and yet feel entitled to talk woke af.

Useless for suburbs
The app listed In N Out as one of the trending restaurants. Absolutely mind blown.
Bricks itself unless you spam invite friends
I’ve never seen this before. You can’t even create an account without spamming 4 friends with text invites. And when you try to claim the “reward” for inviting a user, you have to invite more friends. Absolutely shameless.
NEW UI SUCKS
PLEASE bring back the old smaller pictures, the new pictures are too big, and why is there no tagged post feature!!!!!
Poor design and scammy behavior
The UI is clunky and requiring invites to use certain features is scammy.
It would be better if you could more easily search recommendations in a certain area too.

Worse than Google Maps
I have to share that I am drifting away from this app.
As nice that this app is to create taste profiles, log cities, and categorize cuisines, I find many of its other features highly annoying.
I hate having to label every picture. I hate arbitrarily rating things on a 10-point linear scale in relation to everything I have ever eaten. Maybe that janky restaurant I ate at when I was twelve will always taste better in my heart. Am I really going to be able to objectively weigh differences in price and service across everything? What if I’m just annoyed by a restaurant’s prissy host or ordered the wrong thing?
What really drove the nail in for me was finding out that no one except for followers can even read my Beli reviews. The only reason I bother to upload photos and occasionally review is so I can get email notifications about new photo view milestones and comments from owners. I feel a deep satisfaction when my photos are viewed or my complaints are heard, so Beli’s limited scope is highly disappointing to me.
