Terrible Bookkeeping Service

This is essentially an extremely overpriced version of QuickBooks Online. You never truly have a dedicated bookkeeper, as they're constantly changing. The software integration is subpar and consistently disconnects. I have no clue what my "dedicated" bookkeeper even does. You will spend more time, effort, and money by signing up with Bench. If you're running a business, I highly suggest looking elsewhere.

Zero accountability

SCAM! Ended up owing so much and not given a shred of advice to manage my business revenue and payroll. Reported them to Better Business Bureau. Misleading and careless bookkeeping and tax filing.

Useless

If you want to overpay someone else for you to do your own books, then Bench is for you. They never did anything on time and only did work after complaining every month. Stay away!

Fix the app please

3 years since the first Benton of the messages still starting on the app iconand it still hasn’t been fixed. Still seeing messages on the app showing up as unread, when I’ve read them. It’s an easy fix.

Great If you have time to do your own books

I was a bench customer for three years. Let me put it this way: It was easier to give birth to three babies than getting my books on time.

Happy customer

I’ve used Bench for 2 years now. They have been very helpful and I appreciate having them take on the work of managing the books. It’s saved me 3-5 hours monthly and the stress come tax time- bench do it all for me.

My bookkeeper does change every 6 months of so, but the handover has been good each time. I have multiple bank accounts and they always reach out on time when they need a document uploaded. They seem very organized. I plan to continue working with them for as long as I’m in business.

Great app until recent pulse update!

Love bench but the app now crashes since I updated to get the pulse feature. Please fix ASAP!!

2018 Tax Delayed 3+ months

Since January, my expected Tax Packet has been pending. The bookkeeper going through my 2018 expenses keeps on delaying. We’re getting close to the the tax deadline and various applications are hinged on this poor service. Initially Bench has been good, but I’m starting to doubt Bench’s ability to handle my business’ bookkeeping system.

Works great on iPhone not iPad

Fix the notifications

A good app that mirrors the website well. The notifications, however, are broken. Try annoying. The remain on the icon as unread although there’s nothing more to do or see. A minor fix likely, but leads to confusion as long as it is there.

A quality App

I am surprised no one has reviewed this app. I really like the UI and what this app offers to my business in terms of communication and collaboration!

With this app, I can message my bookkeeper, leave them a note and I can review and share my financial performance anytime with my business partner.

Having a business is never easy, but this app and bench accounting definitely made things less stressful for me.
