Basic info missing….
I’m honestly shocked that the Butlins Minehead Big Weekender app is still this poor after all these years. There is zero information about each act — no descriptions, no indication of whether it’s a DJ, a live band, a tribute act, or anything else. You’re left completely guessing.
For an event we’re paying a lot of money to attend, it’s pretty disappointing (and frankly lazy) that Butlins still hasn’t bothered to populate the most basic details. The app could be genuinely useful, but instead it feels half-finished and neglected year after year.
It’s not much to ask for proper descriptions so we can actually plan our weekend. Come on Butlins, do better.

We always love our stays and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. A bit disappointed with a couple performances but realise some of the 80’s bands are scrapping a living in their later years. Jason Donavan was fantastic and the Meatloaf tribute but the rest wasn’t my cup of tea although saying that, everyone was having a great time. We had a comfort apartment which was a bit disappointing. The bed was lovely ( which is the most important ) However the shower / toilet facilities need investment. Shower head broken and toilet broken. Rust on bedroom radiator. Veneer on coffee table gone and stains on couches.

AWSOME weekend
Second time to minehead and already booked for next year .. great bands and well organised . My only slight grumble would be the length fine to get a beer at the centre stage .. just open the other bar up ! But other than that it was brill brill brill 👊👊

This is not very user friendly.
An option to see all acts each day, in start time order would be useful.

Not that helpful.
It was a good place to store info such as booking ref etc, but no info on live acts, which entrance to use etc. So not actually that helpful.
Almost perfect
Amazing accommodation, entertainment and food. However it was very disappointing how hot the centre stage and reds is!! Too uncomfortable to stay in there. Unable to wear our fancy dress due to the heat.. why is there no air con??? 👎👎
Pleasantly surprised
We’ve just come back from a Butlin’s big weekender, we stopped in a three bedroom apartment that was very clean an tidy, we also had the premium dining plan and the quality and choice was amazing, you will not be disappointed.
70’s big weekend
Wow what a weekend fab acts everybody got in the seventies spirit dressing up and having a good time . After the last two years I think everyone just wanted to let there hair down definitely be booking again .
