Good for bls but needs improvement

App is worse than logging on from a browser
From a clinician’s perspective: I wish it allowed more than one client to join the video session. That way I can share my iPad screen or do family sessions when needed. Also, the function of blurring/changing background should be added. The bilateral stimulation works really well and makes my life easy.

Absolutely useless

Despite working fine with Chrome on my usual device (for medical reasons, I couldn’t use a laptop this week as I needed to be lying down flat) Bilateral Base disables auditory stimuli when using a mobile device and thus makes the user install the app. The app then goes out of its way to disable Bluetooth headphones, meaning that you have to connect wired… which with my specialist headphones uses a standard aux to aux cable. Since my phone came with lightning headphones and thus no adaptor for an aux cable, and since disability means I don’t have the option of the visual stimuli, my EMDR session had to be cancelled ten minutes in since it couldn’t actually proceed. As developers have to deliberately disable the Bluetooth connection, there appears to be a degree of wilful kneecapping of the app’s ability to do what it is meant to do.
