Trying to download
Going to Botswana later this year so decided to download pack. Bad idea stopped at 30%. Now locked up not doing anything asking if I have an internet connection.
Fantastic resource
Currently planning my first birding trip to Africa, and I came across this app. What a fantastic resource - excellent photos, just the right amount of information for each species, and nice clear range maps. In this cynical world, I was amazed to find that it is totally free - thank you, African Bird Club.

Excellent resource for beginners to experts
Wonderful, comprehensive resource for beginners to experts. Includes photos, calls, ranges, descriptions, etc…. Kudos to the developers.
The data to download is large, so if you are in an area with low bandwidth, follow their instructions for download or use the light version.

Useless downloading
If I could give it zero stars I would. After waiting 10 minutes for a small 350mb country file to download I gave up and permanently removed this app for ever.
