Yet another way to exploit users, particularly hospitality workers, into earning currency that can be re-absorbed, without cause, back into the app, without the promised dining rewards. Users are encouraged to accrue credit (blackbird fly) and use it toward big ticket experiences, and then suspend your account when the bill comes, sticking you with the check and citing 'suspicious activity' which they will refuse to name when following up with contact support. You're giving your financial information to a company that will decide whether or not in the moment you can use it.

App is fine but wants me to submit a review EVERY time I open it
App works fine and I’m getting a lot out of using it but every time I open the app it prompts me to write a review and rate the app. Have rated it, have clicked not now, have done everything to stop prompting me but it still continues. 2/5 for poor user experience EVERY time I open the app.

Locked out of account and lowered rewards
I was locked out of the account for five months. Went back-and-forth for months with their staff, and no one could help me. I finally had to change my phone number to my friends to get it to work. I wanted to check in every day at work but I couldn’t so I lost out on five months a check-in, which is $300 worth of points. When I contacted them, they gave me five dollars in return. They could’ve at least give me half of what that was worth considering they refused to help me. Also, they just changed the rules to where when you do industry check-in, and instead of a three dollar check-in it’s a one dollar how cheap.

You stole my money and I want it back. I went to pay with my points and ended up paying $300. Then when I ask for a refund you give me points. Where is my money?

I just got this a week ago whenever someone told me about it. I accidentally deleted the app before even using it once and now I can’t get back into it.

VERY COOL, I’m not usually a restaurant visitor - HOWEVER, this app grabbed my attention bc it turned into this like restaurant-crypto-point system that makes the experience all that exclusive

App says wrong code was entered when, in fact, the code I receive in a text is the correct one. Fix it.

Great concept / horrible to try to pay
We are big fans of InKind which is incredibly easy to use (for both the customer and restaurant) as just enter a check number at end of meal and pay (picking tip at that time) so were excited to see BlackBird pop up at a lot of our local restaurants as thought it would be easy to use. The first 3 times we gave up as despite the restaurants trying to find our name it is literally a 5 step process so each time either our name didn’t show or even though we paid it would say pending for 30 minutes. At a busy restaurant bar and they can’t wait that long. Worse is there is no option to get to pick a tip when checking out as you again have to go through multi steps and go into settings and set in your default payment. This would be okay if Blackbird was only at restaurants as usually you tip 20% (although hate it’s hard to tip more if you want) but issue is that I get to go beer from a brewery by me and it’s self serve just just give a $1 or $2 but I had to stop using Blackbird as forget to change from 20% so twice now gave a $5 tip on a 4 pack of beer. They really need to redo the whole system

I enjoy this deal app for food. I only wish there were more places that uses this.
Great app but a bit annoying
Great perks, nice rewards but the credit card only is discouraging to people who may not have one yet. I know a few college students who have it but can’t use the app because they need a credit card only as payment method. $100 hold allegedly.
