No better than all the others

Same complaint as ALL the other black jack games. Once you start betting over $100 the dealer starts magically and blatantly win more.

It could use a slider to speed the dealer

I’m just learning the basics right now. I would slow it down to count, speed it up to just play.

App crashes

For the last year the app crashes within minutes of opening.

Not a bad training app.

As per title, but there were a few things that irked me.
Not being able to hit after splitting aces ~ some casinos allow this.
Surrender isn’t an option in every casino.
Very sensitive to the two-fingered tap for doubling the bet ~ if both fingers don’t hit together at exactly the same instant then it registers as a hit.

1. Not sure if there’s a way to vary casino rules, or,
2. changing the counting system ~ not everyone uses the HiLo.
Good for general practice, but without knowing the above two points I wouldn’t upgrade.
I will, however, keep the app on my device.

Kudos to the developer(s) for releasing a free version ~ it’s a rarity these days.

Great app (but one annoying bug)

I love the app but please fix the bug that mess up the count when we resume the game after quitting in the middle of a shoe when we are in the betting screen. It seems to reduce the count by -1.

Double Down

The GOOD: free & easy. There’s enough to make you better than average BJ player - if you master basic strategy & card counting.
The BAD: dealer gets the first card?
The UGLY: cards are swept away without showing/telling you why your count is wrong.

Thanks Holy Rollers

Grateful; Great idea while I’m learning basic strategy

Good App

The app works well for practicing basic strategies however I do wish that you could turn off the option to surrender because most low table games don’t allow it.

Really helpful tool despite incongruities

The gestures for surrender and hit are different those used in a live casino. In addition, if an inadvertent gesture registers an unintended command, there is no chance to correct, live play permits correction

Decent

Helps develop the basic strategy and really helps you track the running count. Great place to start for someone wanting to improve there game.

App getting crashed

Once you try to swipe or hit app getting closed. So you have to start from the beginning. It’s frustrating !

Tantalizing yet Frustrating

Shows how much I need to learn

Great App

Great app for people wanting to learn to card counting. Be sure to check out Blackjack Apprentice website and podcast as well!

Great app for practicing card counting on the go

Very good app for practicing card counting while commuting and when you got a few minutes to spare. Just wish it would allow options for more than 1 hand to be played similar to the casino.

App is just okay, is abandonware

This app is useful but very unrefined. The card counting drill is helpful when you're doing things correctly, but when you make a mistake, you find out only after the cards dealt have been removed. So there's no way to learn immediately what you did wrong. Wish I knew this app hasn't been updated in 9 years, and that is unlikely to get better.

Easy to learn

I wish there was a button to go straight to the chart and back faster. Also the links should be in app, not on a web viewer.

Not good

Not worth the money. They make you pay even after buying pro to access the card counting drills. Also, the “real world motions” sound like a good idea but are terrible in practice.

Too fast

Dealer sweeps cards away too fast. No time to total or count. For beginning players or those learning, there should be a way to slow this down until skills are developed. You can slow dealer speed but after cards are dealt they are swept away too fast!

Nothing fancy, works as intended

Will purchase the paid version once I feel I have played a perfect strategy

Good

Everything u need and for free
