Random notifications will pop up saying I got a message, I open the app-no message. A dm notification is not in real time, often times it’s ten minutes after the message comes through.

Cannot Access App
Was able to sign up for an account initially just fine. About an hour later it would no longer let me into the app. It’s been nearly 2 days now and I’ve gotten 0 help from support. Completely unacceptable.
Banned for nothing
Made what was my 100th account in the years since blk came out. I’ve used the same normal photos of my face, verified my account, even bought the premium and bunch of super likes. Not even 24 hours later I was banned. Never even sent a like or messaged anyone. I appealed the ban but they said I somehow violated the terms and conditions.

This app charges you to see who liked you. It is full of fake profiles. It says black singles but there are several white men sending me messages. Was hoping for a better experience. Deleting this app and never downloading it again
You have to pay for matches!
Be advised, if you don’t pay for Elite, you won’t get any matches. They force you to pay got the elite plan to see your likes then they’ll allow you to get matches to make you feel better about paying for Elite.

This app is trash but I feel like it better than most dating apps but paying to meet people is crazy, and people on here selling they body and men are on here trying to date men and this is not a LGBTQ APP!!! They need to do better
SCAM🚩Log In Issues
I really was enjoying the connections and friendships I was forming until the app kept crashing, glitching and having way too many catfish profiles popping up even after you block them .. BOOM you see them again! The community portal feature of turning the dating experience into a social media posting posts platform took all sense of what a dating app meant to me. So I found that feature useless and actually just showed me more outrageous users that I wanted to not connect with at all. After paying towards a 3- month Elite membership I had zero issues UNTIL I updated the app last night. Now I get the same SMS login error message I hear so many others users are experiencing now. I am demanding a FULL refund dispute with this app. All this so called tech support and feedback support in customer service is nonexistent. You will be waiting around to a response via email for so long that you never get any issues resolved! BEWARE!!!!!!! The incompetent lack of getting to speak to a REAL customer rep is a joke and honestly the fact that I’ve emailed numerous times on helping user’s resolve issues is really alarming. Do NOT DOWNLOAD! They are zero options towards recovery of account or password. If you use a number you will be charged regardless. This app knows it’s stealing the black communities money and do nothing to resolve any of these complaints! BLK do better if you’re going to just let every catfish / soliciting spam accounts get away with anything outside of the policy terms and conditions yet firewall real verified account holders have to deal with this bs!

Got banned for no reason
I had my account for literally one day and then it got banned, with no explanation. I used the same photos I used on hinge so I know for a fact it’s nothing inappropriate since they are both owned by the same people. The customer service isn’t helpful at all I don’t even think they check their emails. Really disappointed.

How do you make a BLK dating app, then update it to put ethnicities on there. It’s a BLACK dating app! Everytime yall update the app it gets worse. Filters still don’t work and never did, distance doesn’t work. Flooded with too many transits, showing me men when I’m looking for women, and they made it a hinge reskin where they hide your “type” behind a paywall. I swipe on 10 profiles all of a sudden there’s no more in my area. Reload the app and everyone’s back. This app truly sucks and so does match group.

I message support, and they tell me to do a ban appeal. Um— why am I doing a ban appeal if I have no violations, no warnings, and I didn’t break any rules? I still haven’t heard back from the separate ‘ban appeal support”, and it’s been more than a week.
