Great Opportunity not so great technology
I love the idea of using you luxury liabilities you have to generate income, turning them into an asset is fantastic. Unfortunately the app is poorly designed, won’t allow me to enter the details for my boat and therefore can’t actually be used without other intervention.

Fees galore
For example: list your boat for $100/hr for 8 hours. App charges renter almost $1,100 and owner receives less than $600. listing fee, insurance charged to both parties. A bit silly.

They won’t pay for the charter I did for them. About 2 months ago. Keep saying they a w-9 I’ve sent it to them 3 times
I wish you could be the AIRB.B competitor
I’m so happy about the way this company handle and protect the owners. I wish you could expand to the short term rental field. I’m sure you’ll get a bunch of hosts that are so tired in the negligent and partial way platform as AIRB.B handle things. I wish I could give you 10 stars and I wish I could have my short term rental listings with you one day! So grateful with this company for the opportunity to rent my boat through this app.

This app and platform are trash
Constant issues with the app freezing anytime I navigate away from the app, even for 5 seconds. Also depending on what I click on within the app I’m asked to sign in. Multiple times. The app is not user friendly. Sometimes I can edit booking inquiries sometimes I can’t. No consistency. Renters have similar complaints on their end. Thinking of moving my boat to a diff platform due to these issues.

Newbie
New to this PTP boating world. So far Boatsetter has made it pretty easy. There are some things they can improve on and make it easier for boat owners to navigate. I averaged 4 boat rentals last year and I’m at 4 boat rentals this year. It’s now June 2025.
Money scheme
How do this app make more than I do renting MY boat out. This is the biggest joke I’ve came across.

Really love the ease it is to communicate with guest and also the Boatsetter team. always there to help when needed with their quick response time for me. Especially Riley... really like working with Riley!

We’ve had a terrible experience with this platform’s customer service. Not only have they failed to support us properly as a partner, but they’ve also failed our customers.
A few of our boats where unlisted without any clear reason or prior notice. We currently operate five boats on the site, and this sudden removal is severely affecting our business. Even worse, customer bookings are being automatically canceled, which is leading to angry customers, lost revenue, and damage to our reputation.
We reached out to customer support multiple times, but received vague, unhelpful responses with no clear resolution. There seems to be no urgency or accountability, even when it’s clear that platform-side issues are disrupting legitimate reservations.
As a serious business trying to serve customers reliably, we expect much better. This platform is currently not dependable for partners or guests.
