Perfect for storage and moving
I needed some long term storage while moving and temporarily downsizing, and quickly realized I was going to need a better system than just handwritten labels. There were several related apps, and I already had a couple inventory apps as well, but this one looked the best for both moving and general storage and also supports NFC tags. So I got myself a shipping container, plastic totes, a roll of NFC tags (these are only pennies now), and a roll of consecutively numbered inventory labels that I include in the tote name. All I need to do to quickly find an item is search for it in the app and then look for that numbered tote. Or, if I want to see everything in a tote without opening or digging through it, I can just scan the NFC tag and the app will open the tote for me with photos and descriptions of every item in it. You can have as much or as little detail on items as you want, make it as simple or advanced as you want (the numbered labels and NFC tags are entirely optional) and it’s extremely flexible for customization. I added some custom attributes (perishable, expiration date, color, liquid, etc.) and hid the ones I didn’t need (cost, warranty, etc.). What was originally an overwhelming task is now a very simple system that makes it very easy to find and organize an entire houseful of packed items. I also ended up buying the lifetime license because I knew I’d be using it well beyond 3 months for permanent garage and basement storage if nothing else. If you need the additional capacity beyond the free tier, it’s well worth the cost because it pays for itself in the time it saves you looking for items, and in not having to buy new items to replace the ones you know you have somewhere but can’t actually find when you need them right away! The developer was also very responsive to feature requests.

Great app! Works as expected
This is a great app that works as expect I’m able to organize all of my items into storage bins storage bins into storage locations, and storage locations into building buildings.
Only issue I found is I’m unable to paste URL’s into the appropriate field

A Must-Have for Moving and Staying Organized
Moving is stressful, but Boxes made staying organized incredibly easy. Documenting everything is quick, and adding photos makes it simple to identify what’s inside each box. Searching for packed items later has been fast and reliable, saving us countless hours of digging through boxes.
We printed labels with detailed contents, used the QR codes and NFC tags for instant access, and the whole system just worked. The best part is that we didn’t stop using it after the move. More than a year later, we’re still unpacking and continue to use Boxes to stay organized. I’d highly recommend it—not just for moving, but for anyone who wants an easy way to organize and keep track of their belongings

If you could add this
Hello, I’ve been using this for a while for like various home items and spaces. If you could add the item quantity to show visibly next to the description or in the individual item box without having to tap in, that would be really cool. Also in like the group boxes visibly show the quantity next to the item would be good as well.

Helpful tool to keep track of belongings
Over time and multiple moves I’ve lost the ability to remember where I put anything. This app helps by allowing me to remember what boxes things are in, where they’re located, and I especially appreciate the photo feature so I can remember what each box looks like.
