What's New in Breathable Air Quality Widget

The primary goal of this release was to greatly improve the speed and efficiency of processing trends and recording backlogs: Improved & Fixed * Added the current AQI value to Trends view's header, in addition to the existing chart average AQI. Trends is now a place you can get both historical data but also glance the current AQI without having to leave the app to view a widget * Trends will now show a determinate progress bar when importing large reading backlogs * The "Processing Trends" stage is dramatically faster after long gaps between Breathable launches: Readings from the same location are now geocoded in batches together instead of one at a time and Watch entries now properly pipe their geocoded place names through * Widgets now update the moment any part of Breathable fetches a new reading instead of waiting for their own refresh schedule * visionOS window ornaments also now pick up readings fetched by widgets immediately and will therefore no longer display a different value than the widgets

Updated too frequently?

I do like this app a lot and the recent redesign has made it so much better. Though my only complaint is that whenever I open the app I have to dismiss a “what’s new” modal because of how frequently this app updates.

Great Additions in v4

I’ve used this widget for years and loved that I could keep it simple. Now, I appreciate the additional features (trend line, especially) and that I still can keep the simple small widget for a glance at the air quality, plus have a bigger one on another screen for when I’m wondering when it got hazy or smokey outside.

Better and better

I’ve had Breathable for about 3 months. During that time, the app has gotten better and better. From fixing bugs to better interface updates, to customizing how you want your widgets to look, the app has proven very useful.
Take the time to carefully setup your location. Once you get that done, everything else just flows!

I feel like I should pay for this app

While initial setup (to get API keys) isn’t zero effort, it does allow several data sources for air quality. The app otherwise seems perfect and it really feels like I should at least give the devs some coffee money.
