About

Breathe is a beautifully simple breathing coach — a quiet place to slow your breath down, whether you are winding down, settling before sleep or gathering your focus. Pick a rhythm, follow the breathing orb, and let your body do the rest — anywhere, anytime, fully offline. INHALE. HOLD. EXHALE. The animated orb expands and contracts so you always know exactly what to do. Living, never-repeating breath sounds and soft haptics guide you even with your eyes closed — like a calm coach whispering the rhythm. TUNE THE PACE BEFORE YOU BEGIN Every technique sets a ratio, not a stopwatch — the clock is personal. A tuning screen sits between the exercise and the session: the orb already breathes the rhythm while you slide it slower or faster, the researched default is marked, and the session is spelled out as it changes — 10 seconds a breath, 18 breaths, 3 minutes. EVERY EXERCISE, EXPLAINED A paced circle tells you when to breathe and never how. Each of the ten exercises carries a written instruction that names its source and says what the technique actually asks for — and where the evidence is mixed, it says that too. Shown once before your first session, and always available from Settings. CALM RHYTHMS — slow, paced breathing • Calm 5·5 — an even, unhurried rhythm • Box 4·4·4·4 — the equal four-count square, widely taught in military and police stress training • Sleep 4·7·8 — the classic long-exhale wind-down, usually practised at bedtime • Coherence 5.5·5.5 — a steady six breaths a minute, the rate most studied for heart-rate variability (Pro) • Unwind 4·6 — an exhale half again as long as the inhale (Pro) • Custom — build your own rhythm second by second (Pro) POWER BREATHING — deep rounds and breath holds • Fire — classic power rounds: 30 full breaths, then hold as long as you like • Spark — a single short round • Inferno — deeper, longer rounds (Pro) • Kapalabhati — the fast abdominal breath of classical pranayama (Pro) Track your best breath hold and see how it changes over the weeks. MAKE IT A HABIT Sessions of 1, 3, 5 or 10 minutes. Streaks, minutes and a 7-day view keep the habit alive — without guilt, badges or noise. DESIGNED FOR QUIET No ads. No account. No subscription. Works fully offline. Your practice history stays on your device. A single one-time purchase unlocks everything in Pro — forever. Dark and light themes, five orb colours, 24 languages, and a clean interface with almost no text: just you and your breath. YOUR VOICE SHAPES BREATHE We read every single review and reply to every email. The best ideas from users ship in updates — if your breath needs something, tell us and it will be heard: hello@kirsulab.com Breathe makes no health claims and promises no results — what any exercise does for you is personal, and the app simply keeps the rhythm. Power breathing includes clear in-app safety guidance and requires your confirmation: practise only sitting or lying down, never in water or while driving. Breathe is a wellness tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice. If you have a respiratory or cardiovascular condition, consult your doctor before breath training.

What's New in Breathe

1.1.2

August 1, 2026

TUNE THE PACE BEFORE YOU BEGIN A new screen between the exercise and the session. The orb is already breathing the rhythm while you slide it slower or faster, so you feel the pace before committing minutes to it. The researched default is marked, and the numbers read as one statement: seconds a breath, breaths, session length. EVERY EXERCISE NOW HAS A WRITTEN INSTRUCTION Ten exercises, each checked against a named published source and each with a short how-to: belly first then chest, the tongue behind the teeth, the navel snapping to the spine. Shown once before the first session, and always in Settings. PACES CORRECTED AGAINST THE SOURCES The power rounds were faster than the techniques call for and are now slow enough for a full breath. Kapalabhati is re-timed and its hold between rounds replaced with the stillness the practice actually asks for. The 4-7-8 wind-down is dosed in breaths, as its source specifies, not in ten-minute stretches. DESCRIPTIONS INSTEAD OF PROMISES Every line that named an outcome now describes the rhythm itself — "six breaths a minute" rather than "heart-rate balance". In all 24 languages. ALSO A Licences page in Settings, and three fixes to the Pro screen, including a crash and a spinner that could hang.
