TOOK MONEY NO BREEZE CARD!!!

this new app is disgustingly bad. i can’t believe yall changed from a functional app to one that you can’t even use. like many others, i purchased the card and paid for fare thinking it would be available immediately. you guys are false advertising talking about a digital card that you can’t even use. those of us who tapped to paid through our phone now have to wait to even receive a card. marta is so behind in terms of service and this is why atlanta is not getting anywhere. shame on yall for being so bad in a area that is crucial to so many.

Horrible update

This seems like a information and money grab. I have to register to get a breeze card. I have to order a breeze card to use the app. Once I ordered the breeze card I can’t get the information for my breeze card until it’s mailed to my house. What is the point of having a virtual card if I still have to pay for a physical card and wait for that card to use the app?

Overall I wish we could go back to the last app. It was way more useful than whatever this is.

Unauthorized Charges

Woke up to find $300 missing from my bank account because the app decided to charge me for a 30 day pass ($95) three times and I’m not even on autopay or anything. The time stamps showed that it charged me again every two minutes. I’m so glad that I paid all my bills early this time otherwise that really could have screwed me over. Gonna contact customer service as soon as they open and try to get a refund even though their policies say no refunds. I really don’t have time to be filling lawsuits 🤦🏾‍♀️

Just Not Well Planned

So… this is awful you can’t even see a map, they fail to tell you when you add a card that it would be sent in the mail like people don’t use this everyday…

Live maps on the old apps hardly work, updates don’t work, this is ridiculous. Why not launch the app with all the features on the old app…

Difficult iPhone login (May 2026)

Adding a new card requires you to sign in with a new MARTA account (so, not with old credentials from Breeze 2.0 etc.). Annoying, but not the end of the world.

The main beef I have with this blessed app—it was near impossible to sign in on my iPhone (not sure if it was OS-specific, that is why I mention it).

Every time I tried to enter my email or password, the UI automatically maximized the screen (annoying, and exponentially adds to annoyance level when you have to re-attempt so many times).

When I try to enter my password (either via Autofill, Password feature, or just typing it in), the login page auto-refreshes/redirects to the original "Better Breeze" website home page. My internet connection was not interrupted, so it wasn't that, either.

What finally worked—pasting in my password very carefully and QUICKLY pressing "sign in" before it refreshed on me. Like I said, if I pulled up Autofill or the Passwords feature, the screen would go away.

An aside... I'm sorry, but consequentially, I am very tired of seeing the two "model" MARTA riders on that d**n home page screen now because I associate them with the compounding frustration I had with signing in... so that I can finally link a new MARTA card to my new account in this new app.

Another aside... Better Breeze my a**. The only thing better is the new trains, and when the fare was free because the new gates were still in transition.

Inoperable

I tried to buy a digital card like the app told me I could. After filling out all the info, learned I had actually purchased a card that would be sent in the mail, and the information wasn’t included on my receipt to add the card to my app. Unfortunately, I was taking the bus and needed to transfer. At the station, all ticket kiosks were ripped out, so I am still unable to purchase a physical card and guess I’m stuck waiting 2 weeks for it to arrive in the mail. Laughably bad.

Confused

The first screen in the app says I can create a virtual card or use an existing breeze card. I don’t have a physical card so I guess I’ll create one, there’s no button to create so I guess I’ll click link card. After that,
I’m brought to screen to enter existing card details, not to create a virtual card
…. how do I use this app???

Bad

The prior app - Breeze 2 - does not have any notice/message to users that it has inexplicably been replaced by this app. Here, requiring users to buy a physical Breeze card to then add a balance is counter intuitive to the entire purpose of having a mobile app. Poor decisions like this are why Atlanta did not get awarded the World Cup final match.

App is no good

I’ve purchased a card. I’m not sure if it’s coming in the mail or what? Can’t load any money on the old card from online., Then when you get on the bus they look at you crazy. Why do I have to take money if the atm to try and pay to get on the bus. I’m still not sure what to do on the app

Just use Apple Pay

I tried this hoping it would be better than the old app. It was worse - you have to register a physical card, which visitors often do not have on arrival. The old app at least let you buy digital tickets.

The good news is you can just tap to pay with Apple Pay now and not have to deal with any app at all. Infinitely easier.

Going backwards

What’s the point in having an app if you still need to have a breeze card? They should’ve just kept the old app. Worst change ever. Marta was supposed to eventually get to the point where we can just use Apple Pay on our phones at the gate like in nyc, and they were getting there with the previous app when u only needed to add funds on the 2.0 app and tap and ride. But this new app is literally going BACKWRDS making us now purchase a breeze card to even use the app. I don’t understand what they were thinking with this change smh and they wonder why people don’t want to ride Marta for sports events or concerts. They just made it worse

Nothing works

Thought this is a new breeze app that finally gets modernized. But no. Once you create account and login, none of the feature works. I tried to link my senior citizen breeze card and it does not accept account number more than 16 digits. Check old breeze card balance link goes no where. Such a disappointment

Pointless Update

I’ve been using the 2.0 app for a year now and it’s literally been easy and convenient to buy a ticket and have it on my phone. For some people,it’s incredibly inconvenient to have to carry a physical MARTA card. That can easily be lost or stolen.

Y’all need to make it so that we can buy and use tickets on the app. Most especially if y’all are trying to prepare for the World Cup. If y’all don’t fix this, it will be a nightmare for the tourists and ruin this city’s reputation!

How to?

Are you supposed to be able to use this on Apple Pay and Google pay if so why can’t I add it to my wallet? On top of that how do I ride if my card still has not came in the mail? This is really beneath me and this should have been resolved before making such a major change. All because the biggest world sport is coming to Atlanta. Crazy this is the only time one of americas busiest cities see change that don’t even work.

Non-Functional.

This app is overall made to replace the older app with the new coming bus routes. However there must have been an oversight because the date of change was said to on the 18th, but theres no way to add funds or even transfer the remaining funds from the old app to this one unless you have a pre-existing card- Which many mobile users of the app did not. And to use this new app you must get this new card no one really knows how to get through the app otherwise given its UI. Over all, nothing is really functioning and the job might’ve hit a rush towards the deadline. But as a bonus the fare throughout the city has been accommodated to make up for this in the meantime. I assume until things can be organized otherwise.

The Worst Version Ever

The last app was way better than this app. They just took my money. I paid for a card and I added 5 dollars to the card. They took the 7$ and didn’t even upload the card to my account. They didn’t send an email confirmation or nothing. My money just disappeared and I still don’t have a card. I made an account for nothing. I didn’t have a ride to the station and thought I could rely on Marta. Very unreliable app. Why do you require us to already have a card to purchase fare? Like this is ridiculous. And then when you purchase one, they don’t add it to your profile and it’s even harder to pay at all. My purchase declined two times through Apple Pay, so I entered my card information and it took my money but gave me nothing. No product. I don’t think I encountered any issues like this with the last app at all. In fact, bring the last app back. Do yall even test run these apps before you put them out? Whoever is behind this clearly doesn’t appreciate their job.

Passes are not showing up

Purchased pass is not showing up on the app. And the purchase is not being applied to my card either, which is rendering the app and card useless for me because I use monthly passes! And now I’m being forced to pay per day, which is more expensive than paying by the month.

I also agree that the app is not ready for prime time. When you log in you can see that the tool bar changes during login and reduces the amount of functionality. Apparently some functionality from the old system is not available until late April! But this is not said anywhere in the app.

Baffling

Does no one review these apps before releasing them? The UI is completely impenetrable. The only clue is that you apparently absolutely have to link an existing card before you can use the app. What if you don’t have an existing card? Let’s check “more information” link! It tells you about cards, nothing about the app, and it doesn’t answer this most obvious of questions.

Makes no sense

As I was trying to add money to the old app it wouldn’t let me. There are flyers everywhere saying that changes would be made late April but now I can’t use either app. When I found out about the new app, it only allows transferring of funds if you had a breeze card. On top of that it only gives the option to buy a new breeze card and not just adding funds
Show more

Hmm…

Why do I have to purchase a new card to be able to use this app? I have two cards already, both with money on them… why wasn’t our breeze card info just transferred to the new app…
