Still allows photo icons! EXCELLENT
Brilliant is the only ‘Tuya Smart’ app which I know that still permits photo icons to be added! Please don’t ever change this!
… and, If you need to ‘retrofit’ photos of devices into your other Tuya apps, just delete them from that, add them into Brilliant, take your photo, and delete, and re-add them back into your original Tuya app - and the photo persists! SIMPLY BRILLIANT

App keeps changing the location I set for leaving and arriving scene preset
The previous version was better !
Y’know, the app does good ‘tricks’, but when they tell you to update.. and all you need ‘then’ requires 2 extra clicks.. I’d say that’s a fail. And... while I'm throwing tomatoes at 'your' App. Consider coming home late, you've stepped on the cat.. and you can't find your light switch.. you dig out the APP.. and go to press the 'ON' light.. and then the App takes you to another screen where the SAME 'ON' switch is there.. just bigger?! ... like WTF?? And then.. you CLICK on it the 'bigger ON' switch.. and then the APP asks "Click to Confirm" (Are you sure.. BS). WHY ON EARTH are you just adding more pages to turn on a light switch?! ..it defies logic and it makes, what should be a rather easy to use app.. incredibly frustrating and arduous. It's no longer BRILLIANT.. it's ridiculous.

Was going fine
It is trying to make me verify, but says I’m already a user. Won’t give me a login option. Says I have no devices yet is running the sequence I set up. I’ve updated app. Worried that it will completely delete my sequence and brick itself. I need to edit my sequence though and there is no way to do this.

All Data Wiped
All my devices and settings are gone. Literally blank in the app. Scenes and hours of work. Whatever was updated or changed put everything back to zero.
Brilliant or expectation exceeds its ability !!
Still waiting for something that I would consider background app refresh so that it works better. I have three appliances and one is just for an air-conditioner but every time I open it wants to turn off my air-conditioner and I have to press things three times even though I’ve got perfect Internet just need background app refresh please.

Fantastic tbh
Great light bulb and the app is good but it desperately needs a widget for iPhone as it’s annoying having to keep the app open to operate the lights switchless.
Couldn’t pair/connect
No luck pairing/connecting the wifi alarm device, so had to throw the security kit out.
Feedback
The lights themselves are good for their price but man…. When they keep flashing on and off if you have disconnected. It is really frustrating. I ended up selling them and getting Hue + instead.

Always Logged Out
One of the worst apps I’ve ever used. If you don’t use it for too long you get logged out. I use a password manager and even though I haven’t changed my password it says that it’s wrong every time.

Needs an update. Especially for the garage door controller
Where’s the Widget gone?
It’s disappeared under iOS 18 making turning lights on/off much slower and fiddly.
Used to be good, not anymore
It would have been a 5 if it wasn’t for the required login each time you want to use the app to switch on lights. It is much faster to get out of bed and switch the light on the actually lamp. It’s frustrating when it’s dark at night. Previously you could just switch on and off without needing to login. I guess it’s all about taking as much public data and selling it to make money these days. It’s not enough we already paid for the lights and are advertising the product each time we use it at home in front of friends and family.

iOS app hasn’t been updated for (over) a year???
I just updated my iPhone to iOS 18 and the Brilliant Smart widget has disappeared! I googled support and it bought me to this listing on the App Store. I noticed the app hasn’t not been updated in a year or even more???
Good Value
Way to use and set up, would be improved by being able to set plug time to switch on relative to sunset and also adjust to daylight savings. Otherwise good value.
