Cloud control
This has to be one of the worst apps I have ever used. When the app is opened it loses connection within 5 seconds every time. When you inevitably have to push retry sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesn’t, if it doesn’t you have to go through the same process again. I have all notifications enabled so I know what’s going on with my spa at all times but all this app does is let me know when my spa cover has been opened or closed. My bullfrog spa rep assured me that the app would notify me when the spa has lost power but I have lost power numerous times and have never received a notification. When the app does work correctly it is very simple and easy to use which is why I’m baffled that such simple controls and notifications cannot be mastered by the techs at gecko alliance.

Great idea, rarely works
Usually won’t connect. Good idea but poor execution
Blue light but error with rebooting for days
It’s driving me crazy to solve the issue with the app. It was getting increasingly less responsive and all of a sudden the app keeps showing an error message with “your spa pack os currently rebooting. Please wait a couple minutes and try again” for days… (Solid blue light is on.)
Garbage
Never works … connects 1 out of 50 tries even though the wifi module shows a strong connection … absolute trash
False Notifications
Just decided to turn notifications off due to false notices about cover being opened then closed, over and over and over again. App appears to be trying to do too much with none of it consistently working. I’d far rather have a few solid things that are consistent than a bunch of things that I can’t rely on to work consistently.

2023 series a Spa
Since the update, the reminders are not in sync between the hot tub and app. For example, the app says change the hot tub cover in 1059 days. The hot tub panel says clean the filter in a solution in 1059 days.
Also since the update, it can take up to a minute to connect in spite of my connection which is shown at 96%.
Previous to the update all was good. No excuse for what should be a quality product.

App is ok. You should be able to type the temp adjustment. The slider is stupid.
The hardware is absolute crap. Have to reboot it constantly at one end or the other.

Great App!
I have used this with my Bullfrog R7 for over 2 years and have had no issues. I love that i can lock/unloack the spa and turn down the temp when I'm away. Great for winter to be able to bring up the temp without having to go out to the tub. Please add supprt for Applewatch!
Lacking in many areas especially for the cost
The app has a lot of potential but lacks in just about every area. No logging available which would be great to customize a schedule based on logged temperatures and run times for pumps. The notifications are basically useless because of the hours long delay between the fault and when the notification appears. Again, a lot of potential but could offer much more in way of utility. Simply adding a heater and pump status in a logging form could help customers dial in their efficiency and allow for a more controlled customer feel. The cost of the accessory coupled with the lack of programming, feels like bullfrog just did the bare minimum to be able to say they offer such a device without really investing much into it.

Decent. But missing key features
Overall it’s decent, but needs upgrades:
1) An ability to set Away with a return time (for example set that I’m away until Sunday at 7pm) so it can save energy while I’m gone and be ready when I return. Today, I have to set an alarm on my phone to remind me to bring it back up 4-hours before I’m home from vacation. If I miss the alarm, I return to a cold tub.
2) Missing ability to set a lighting schedule (on at 7pm, off at 11pm. This would be great!
3) Why no history of heat or energy usage?? Everyone wants this. It’s why cats have MPG on the dash. Easy program to write and would be nice for techy people and to confirm we are running optimal.
4) Needs notification/alarm to cell feature should the temp drop 10 degrees below set point or lose power.

Fails to connect
This app works for me only once, and then never again connected

Very buggy, still.
This app is very buggy. It works, kind of. The temperature used to be available when you launched the app, now it’s not and you have to wait like 5 mins to see the temp and then if you want to change the temp you have to hit a hidden slider and raise or lower it and wait another few minutes for that to actually register before closing the app otherwise nothing happens and you’ll think you’re heating or cooling the spa although you won’t be and you’ll end up screwed one way or another. Also the lock feature doesn’t seem to work because the exterior light on the spa continues to come on 10 times per day even though the app says the spa is locked. Obviously it’s not. I wish they wound iron out those issues. They seem to me to be very basic issues that affect the primary purpose of having the app to begin with.

Will not connect
My bullfrog is connected to the in touch wireless device but this app will not connect. Doesn’t ever seem to find anything on my network.

The only plus is that after you buy the overpriced unit that plugs into the spa there is no monthly fee, but honestly I’d rather pay 20 bucks a year or more to have:
1 - Notifications (customizable)
2 - ANY history. But especially when heaters are on and off along with temperature history. This app won’t tell you how many degrees an hour your spa is capable of, or whether a new heating / eco setting is actually saving you money
3 - kWhr usage
4 - an open API so I could write my own webpage or app.

Okay, could use improvements.
I enjoy using the app but there are something I would change. Adjusting the temperature is difficult. Arrows that you could push to adjust up and down would make it much easier. It’s also extremely slow to connect.

1. Audio control. It would be nice to be able to control the stereo.
2. Connectivity. The app doesn’t always connect.
3. Temp Control. The temp control is confusing and not intuitive.

Good, but here’s what’s missing.
1. Notifications! Must check heat everyday in winter. I live 3 hours away. Should send notification if it calls for heat, and it does not work.
2. Show me how many minutes per day the heat is kicking on. Keep tabs on performance.
3. Connects about 90% of time. Not sure why it fails the other 10%. Random.
Other than that, it works well. Nice interface.

Rarely works
Remaining connected really seems to be an issue. Even when everything else is online on my network, this unit says it cannot connect, or there may be a power outage. Also, wish I could set it to heat on a schedule. Otherwise, app is pretty straightforward.
