Both are free to download. Spa Control sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Bullfrog Spas CloudControl 2™ asks for nothing beyond the download.
Spa Control holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spa Control has 626 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of Spa Control's written reviews are positive against 24% of Bullfrog Spas CloudControl 2™'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
