Small improvements but still bad
If you leave the app to go to another app where you have your credit card info saved to look up your CVC number, the Cafe Rio app loses EVERYTHING. Not just the credit card info but the entire order. Nothing is preserved in the shopping cart and you have to begin form scratch (if you don’t give up and order from somewhere else).

Seems to prioritize door dash over app orders
Waited for well past my order window for my food and watched as doordash orders kept getting their food before a whole line of people . . . Would’ve been much shorter to wait in line and avoid the app altogether
Ridiculous Issues
There are some basic functions a food ordering app should have, that this one doesn’t. You can save favorite orders but there’s no way to actually add the saved order to your cart. So what’s the point of saving it?? You also can’t reorder previously ordered items. Also, I was checking out with a gift card and it showed there was a balance, but apparently that balance was wrong and the payment didn’t go through. Instead of allowing me to change the payment it just got rid of my entire order and I had to completely start again. Ridiculous.

Endless loop of “verify your email”
Verified it. Took a while to even get the conformation email. And now it won’t do anything except ask to verify my email over and over again. Annoying unusable. I just want to log on so I can delete my account and never use it again. Also the rice is always dray greasy and hard.
Terrible functioning
Was trying to download it and didn’t work and sent me back 3 times to same menu.
Not Vegetarian or Vegan Friendly
They recently updated the app, and if you are vegetarian or vegan it will NOT let you move onto the next step without choosing a meat option unless it’s the “fajitas veggies”. It will not allow you an option to comment to remove anything either. Please fix this on the app. I used to order weekly and now I can’t/wont :/

Gets stuck in an email verification loop
This app gets stuck in an email verification loop all the time. A pop up will appear that says my email needs to be verified. I click confirm and the pop up appears again. Killing the app doesn’t help. I have to uninstall it and reinstall it to use it again.
Cant complete order
Whenever I try to pay it says that there is an error with the payment method. The card works on everything else and I tried using the app months ago and it still wouldn’t work. Apple Pay doesn’t work and neither does putting in my card manually. It’s a shame because my work is right next to a cafe rio and I would love to go there often for lunch but it would take too long for them to prep it during my break which is why I order ahead of time. I guess I’m gonna have to keep settling for McDonalds. 😢

Can’t make an account
Refuses to even make an account. Just gives me an error that says “T”. Continue with guest account which takes you to the website where you cant even see what’s in your cart.

I like using the app to place orders for pickup, but there’s one thing I cannot figure out: how to use a saved order to order the same thing again.

App NEVER works
Seriously, I almost always struggle with even finding my local restaurant to order from the app or the website. Why is it so freakin difficult to make a food app work right?
This app needs feat
Wish you could copy previous ordered items, makes it less of a breeze to order and leads to mistakes

Everytime you swap back and forth to the app it wipes the damned order forcing a complete recreation of the order again and again
awful customization
the ability for you to to remove things is not an option. you can’t leave notes on the order to tell them to remove something either. if i don’t want any meat or fajita veggies on my salad, it will not let me proceed until i pick one. will not be ordering from this place because of this. absolutely ridiculous.

Gift card error
I had over $225ish of unused gift cards in the app. Customer service said it’s not loss but it could take up to two weeks or longer to find the gift cards
APP NEEDS UPDATES!
The app doesn’t work. It needs an update really bad. I can’t login into my account and everything is not updated and it says all my favorite restaurants are closed on it. What the heck is going on?

App (not good) review
The most frustrating thing is all the help online would indicate you just press a button to reorder saved favorites. Including showing a button. My app does “not” look like those pictures. I can save orders. I can look at them. I can edit the name. I have no “reorder” button.
