Great device for veterans

I’m a combat veteran who suffers from severe PTSD. My anxiety is through the roof as well as being hyper vigilant especially in crowds.
In just a few short days of using calmigo. I noticed yesterday while out with my wife, as my anxiety started to rise, my wife and I both noticed I began doing the breathing techniques without, thinking about it. It just started.
Did it remove all my anxiety no, but let me say this I remained calmer, whereas I normally would have been telling my wife, we need to check out now and go.
This time we finished our shopping before we left or me feeling like I would explode.
So for my fellow brother and sister veterans I highly recommend contacting the VA for this device. It may not make us whole again but it’s a step in the right direction that truly helps.

Great app but occasionally buggy

The device and the app are tremendous in concept. Very well thought out and put together. However I have an occasional issue where I open the app and am greeted by the initial setup screen. I go through the prompts but I’m unable to access the app. There’s not an option to login to my existing account. The only resolution I’ve going is closing the app and rebooting. That doesn’t always work though. I’m on the latest version of the app.

App is a great companion to device

I enjoy using the app with the device since it has a timer with calming music. It also motivates me to use it to collect keys, coins, and items for the room. I’ve been using it for several days in a row, but the Daily Rewards (calendar) is not granting any rewards at all. Does Daily Rewards unlock at a later time like Statistics (level 2), or is this an app glitch?

I used to have calmigo device before they went to this requirement of using a stupid app, you have to sync it every couple weeks and if you don’t you get locked out and it notifies you to reconnect. First of all I get severe panic attacks and when you have an attack you don’t have the brain to function to remember and get your device connected to your phone app, calmigo was great before they made this subscription mandatory to use the app. You can not just use the device. I have it a one star for that reason. It’s more a nuisance.

I rated it 6 stars even though I have not tried it yet when I felt anxious because it says to use it twice a day so I am hopeful that when I have anxiety attack it will actually help me a little bit expensive but I am willing to give it a try if I can keep from being stressed all the time and taking medication for the anxiety

Wish I found this sooner!

I have dealt with anxiety, panic attacks & ocd since I was little. I’m 27 now & my biggest issue when having a panic attack is forgetting to breathe. CalmiGo is such an amazing idea & I am so grateful I found it. I’ve only had it for a few days but it helps me reach such a relaxing, calm state. The app guided breathing is wonderful, & the collection of coins to make my own little safe space is fun for my inner child. Truly so grateful for this device, thank you for making this. Some of the best money I’ve ever spent.

CalmiGo device - my experience

I received this device via the VA. I’ve been using it every day for about 23 days. It took a few days using it to get used to the best way for me to breathe and hit the mark. There is an app involved with using the device, and it gamifies using it, as well as unlocking aspects of the device. I haven’t used any anxiety medication during this time, which is great. I’m pleased to have this as another tool in my anxiety toolbox, to utilize as needed.

Honestly don’t get the positive reviews, question whether or not they’re real consumers

Huge waste of money. Device did not reduce anxiety or help with PTSD. The app is absolutely the crappiest and least useful ever. And when they send you the reminder you’re going to be charged with a link to manage your subscription, be aware that the page it opens doesn’t actually let you manage your subscription. Nothing like paying for a useless device and “service”. Horrible customer service also. Look elsewhere for relief of these symptoms.

Not yet fully decided

As the title would suggest, I am not yet fully decided on if/how much this device is effective. I have severe grade PTSD and acute anxiety and panic disorder.
I only just got the device a couple of days ago, and I still have 12 more sessions before I’m able to access the “statistics”, so I’m not yet sure what that looks like or how helpful it will be.
The guided breathing definitely serves as a distraction, and the haptic feedback is nice.
I certainly feel a bit more grounded and “slowed down” a bit after three minute session.
But I’ve also noticed that when the session is over, I tend to feel lightheaded and sometimes a little bit dizzy. In and of itself, that’s not a bad thing.
But as somebody with extremely acute anxiety, I have a very high level of body awareness.
And sometimes being lightheaded or dizzy can increase anxiety rather than lower it.
That has not happened yet from using this device, but it does give me pause.
There’s also another feature all the way to the left on the bottom of the home screen that I can’t unlock until level 2 - which, I’ll be perfectly honest, is rather frustrating after spending several hundred dollars on the device. So I have no idea what that feature is or if/how it will improve the experience.
And I also have no idea how to reach level two, nor do I understand why levels are necessary when I’m trying to get maximum anxiety relief quickly.
It was my understanding that this device was meant to be paid for at that high price tag and then be fully accessible to the owner.
I didn’t know I was going to pay several hundred dollars and then still have to unlock things as if it were a pay-to-play mobile game.
So for now, two stars.
I will absolutely come back and make updates.

I just received my unit through the VA and while it’s early to tell, I do feel like it’s helping more on my exhales as part of breathing exercises that I’ve already been doing. I started with the peppermint disc and I guess we’ll see how the others go I don’t feel like it’s overwhelming and I feel like this is a Positive tool in the arsenal. I’m using against my PTSD.

Blessing in Disguise

CalmiGo has been a total blessing for my daily life. Before using this device, my anxiety and depression would often run rampant and truly get the best of me.
