Bad Apples Protected, Good Members Punished
My experience with InnerWorld was extremely disappointing.
I was always a respectful, quiet, and supportive member. I joined InnerWorld because I wanted a safe community where people could connect and support one another. I tried to contribute positively and treat people with respect, so what happened to me was incredibly frustrating.
I experienced bullying, exclusion, and behavior that I felt should have been addressed by the people responsible for keeping the community safe. What made it worse was seeing the member involved in the situation being given a position as a “respected” member within the addictions community. In my experience, that position seemed to give her more influence and power to exclude people, create her own group by inviting members, and get away with behavior that I felt crossed the line and broke community rules.
I also experienced her telling other people whenever I was on InnerWorld. That made me feel watched, singled out, and deliberately excluded from a space I was supposed to feel safe in.
Despite all of this, I was ultimately the one who was banned. Instead of looking at the bigger picture and asking why the conflict was happening in the first place, it felt like the easiest solution was to remove me.
There should have been some common sense and accountability here. If someone is repeatedly creating conflict, excluding others, breaking rules, or making another member feel targeted, simply banning the person who is affected doesn’t actually solve anything.
What bothers me most is that InnerWorld is supposed to be a mental-health-focused platform. People come there because they need connection and support. Being bullied, excluded, and then punished when you try to speak up can be incredibly damaging.
I met some genuinely wonderful people through InnerWorld, and that’s what makes leaving even more disappointing. But I can’t recommend a platform that, in my experience, handled this situation by punishing the wrong person while allowing the behavior that caused the problem to continue.

Great app!
This is a wonderful recovery tool, with virtual meetings that are completely anonymous! Make your avatar and create a nickname Andy will get positive results and be able to vent! The support therapists are super knowledgeable!

I’m learning to navigate it and sharing it with others
I think it will help .. my phone ( old iPhone) is having challenges so I couldn’t open the app yesterday and have trouble using the avatar and such but I’ll keep trying again.. I also have a Mac Book Air that I wish I could also use for the site but was told not at this time 🤷♀️. I will keep trying tho !!! Thank you !!! When I did get in I tried the chat as I had a meltdown and wanted support.. it was about how people are dealing with world events and I dropped out as I do not watch the news .. I simply pray for our world… thank you Jewel for this wonderful opportunity 💝

Surprisingly Therapeutic
I was very hesitant to tryout this form of therapy but I’ve found that I love the anonymity. Checking out different environments and “meeting” new people is awesome, especially if you don’t have a lot of close family and friends to talk to.
