Don’t recommend it over the browser
The app delays approximately 1 or 2 days of assignments and you’ll find yourself shocked that you have tones of work… it is only an issue if your not productive enough other than that it’s useful just don’t rely on it as my recommendation

Notifications suck
Please fix the notifications. I receive notifications that an assignment has been graded, but when I tap the notification banner, the app opens and just keeps loading. The grade never appears, so I have to find it manually. This has been happening consistently and is very frustrating.
Yeah it works
Nice to have school things on my personal device so I don’t need to use my school laptop and it sends me notifications 4 important stuff, email teachers, yeah it’s pretty great. If you have this website at school I suggest also downloading the app, helpful.
To-Do lists and widgets are pointless
The amount of times the widget only shows me assignments that are no longer able to be accessed is insane. And when I physically go in to mark those assignments done, it doesn’t show me what’s coming up next. It only shows assignments that are past due. And half the time, it won’t let you mark assignments as completed.

Needs bugs fixed.
Generally, this app does the job. But the bugs are very annoying. For example, I finished module six in my class and this prerequisite opened up module seven on my iPad. But on my iPhone, module seven is still locked up.
The PDF viewer on the app does not allow zooming in and so does not work very well on iPhones because the text is too small.
Finally, logging into this program is very annoying, because NNU has so many different sites to login. Is it canvas? Is it instructure? Is it NNU?

Mostly does the job
This app has some dumb limits to be fixed. Sometimes the class posts a slideshow in PDF format. The text is too small to view in portrait mode so when I switch it to landscape mode, the whole PDF disappears.
Need to fix notifications
why do I get like 100 notifications saying that a student replied to the same discussion post that I did but not a single one saying that I have an assignment due tonight that I forgot about… you guys need to fix the notifications
New updates after hack
After the hacks the app still does not work properly. The new UI continually changes back to the old one and erases everything in the to-do tab so none of the recent due dates for assignments appear at all. Logins also have been super buggy for some reason and give error messages. Used to be great, now absolutely trashed

Unable to hide old courses
TheIn the recent updates I am unable to hide old courses that are still open, but yet are done.
Dark mode
Overall a great app, but the web browser is missing dark mode and my eyes pay the price 😭. 4/5 stars. I'll come back and rate 5 if the browser gets dark mode.
Not great but does the job
It’s a nice app that gets things done on your phone. Doesn’t work great most of the time but can help you keep up with due dates and assignments

Useless after canvas hacks several months ago
Canvas got hacked several months ago and had to pay the ransom to get it back. Here we are months later and because of this the district has disabled the app. Idk why the school had a contract with them if they can’t trust them. It’s ridiculous

Discontinuing support for iOS 17? If you’re a poor college student on an old phone that’s tough.
Bug Ridden
This is one of the most buggy apps I have ever worked with. Anything other than the most basic functions seem to never work reliably and even then, sometimes the app doesn’t work at all. Please take some time to go back through and make sure you existing features work before adding anything else
Major bugs
Doesn’t load documents correctly. It just shows a bunch of code.
Nothing loads or works
Useful for school and everything when it actually works. For me, everything is constantly loading, like the files page, assignments page, announcements page, and the grades page. I either get error messages or it buffers for forever.
