Very horrible experience
I have always preferred to use careem over any other transportation app no matter the price range due to its comfort and safety, but it has honestly downgraded a lot ever since Uber bought it. The professional and class captains are rare to find, the wait times are much longer, a lot of in-app glitches, overpriced for no reasons and rush hours at 4AM??? Today I ordered a ride and the captain cancelled, the other captain was literally 2 streets away from me and the arrival time for the captain was “11MINS” and he didn’t move a single inch, I cancelled and I get charged 1.5 for no reason(which was returned), I order another ride he is 12Mins away from me and he also doesn’t move a single inch. I decided to cancel and order uber because I am in a hurry and the captain took less than 3 minutes to arrive and was actually respectful and better. Do good Careem. This is disappointing!

Terrible app
Used in Morocco, utter disaster. After you accept a ride, drivers call you to negotiate and request up to 3-4 times the amount. If you refuse they just don’t show up. To top it off, the app then automatically charges you for interaction as if the blame falls on your shoulders. Dishonest through and through. And this was not a one time experience. It’s embarrassing to admit but despite this treatment, I retried calling cars from 4 different locations. The exact same scenario occurred over and over again. I should have learned my lesson sooner and hope that this review will allow others to not fall into this trap…

If i could give this horrible app 0 stars I would. Use talabat for an actually good ordering app this app is only good for ordering taxis

Scamming - extra deduction after arrival
This was my first time using careem box, I confirmed to pay 7.7 , but once the delivery arrived, careem deducted 4.2 extra which is more than 50%, I contacted the help center 3 times, every time the auto reply said that careem will contact me after 1-2 hours but that didn’t actually happen, I’m not sure if this happened with others and they accepted it, but this called scamming since it’s not justified deduction.

Fine until you need to change something
The app itself is fine but went to change my number and the app keeps sending the code to my old number, HELPFUL! And now a mystery payment was made when I was out the country, 5 days and 4 excuses later they still don’t know what it is! Financial security not a priority, will use another app after this.

Forced review screen is very annoying
Having a forced screen to review rides when I need a new ride is not a nice move.. I will review but definitely I will not review when I need a ride in two minutes.. please be sensible about this.. when I have a pleasant ride or a bad ride i will definitely make sure to review, but this enforcing will only make me hate reviewing rides

No privacy for your customers a random person ordered from my credit card and somehow the account is in his name and email but my credit card is the card that got the transaction tried to send them and now response this happened in Jordan
