Laggy/Unreliable
I’ve have banked with Carter Bank for many years, have not had any issues. I use the mobile app to keep track of transactions, credit score, etc. I’ve noticed the app is laggy, like from the early 2000s and was never updated. I try to access my transactions under my debit card and it takes forever to load, and I notice the loading screen is glitchy. It is slow and hard to navigate. (Please don’t say it’s my phone- I have an iPhone 16 pro max) Imagine using a 3rd party app with malware. That’s how it feels to use Carter Bank Mobile. Also, I have had my account access restricted SO many times because I incorrectly entered my password or username ONCE. And calling the help desk takes forever. Other banking apps are quick and efficient. They aren’t laggy, they are easy to use. Carter Bank, do better.

Love mobile app only thing is when u making a mobile deposit it need to be better at warning u that need to write on the back make it to Carter bank ! I got very frustrated I couldn’t make one , didn’t know that’s what u had to do , I don’t know why

I opened my accounts in August and I am very happy with the app. When it opens, it shows you your exact balance in each account. The drop downs are simple and clear to use. The website is not fussy and too busy. I check my accounts regularly, of course but I’ve also transferred money two or three times with no problems. Very easy to do.

Carters bank
Carters bank is unlike any other bank in the United States. When every other bank balances accounts at 1 pm. Carters waits until 12 midnight. They balance your withdrawal before they add your deposit. This is how they make so much money on overdraft fees.if you have a direct withdrawal coming out for that day. It will be taken out before any deposit is added. But it gets better. If you have a direct deposit going in on Friday, you will not see your money until Monday morning. But you will see overdraft fees for any purchases you make during the weekend. Carter will keep up with your purchases, they just won’t honor your deposit. They will tell you your company is at fault but this is a lie. But it gets better. Let’s say you pay a direct withdrawal bill and this slightly overdrafts your account. Carters may not pay the bill but they will charge you an overdraft fee and they will charge you as many times as the payment is trying to come out of your account. This is why every other banking system cuts off at 1 pm in the afternoon. It gives the consumer time to make a deposit or check their account, before midnight. But it gets better. Carters staff will ignore your calls or messages when you figure out their crooked schemes. I know because I have been through all of it. Carters preys on the individual who lives paycheck to paycheck. Consumer beware and if you are on a fixed income I suggest Capital One for your banking needs.
