Originally, I paid for the app, and during a photoshoot, it locked me out and asked me to pay again, ruining the flow of the session. The team found out I was the only person that had this problem, and still created a special patch fixing this problem just for me. If that isn’t going above and beyond for your customers, I don’t know what is. Thank you Cascable team, you’re the best.

Mangelhaftes Funktion zum Fokusieren über liveview
Leider kann man über die liveview Funktion nicht fokusieren, da die Zoom Funktion nur an eine Stelle reinzoom die sich dann nicht mehr bewegen lässt.
Star Rating funktioniert nur wenn man Bilder auf dem iPad oder iPhone speichert und es ist umständlich zum Fenster zu wechseln um ein Star Rating zu geben (die Kamera stoppt den Live view und es kommt zu technischen Problemen um den wiederherzustellen).
Es wäre toll wenn die App mit Lightroom „kommunizieren“ kann. Sodass lightroom die vorgenommene Auswahl (5 Stars ) in Cascable erkennen kann.
Die Bearbeitungsfunktion konnte ich leider nicht ausprobiert , weil es bei mir „verschwunden“ ist (ich hatte einen Monat Abo , ein iPad Air 2 und eine Canon 5d Mark II). Trotzdem top , dass die App auf meinem sehr alten iPad funktioniert.

Thanks for your review. Zoom on Live View is impacted by camera model, some models allow scrolling around, others don’t. Similarly with star ratings being added to the image metadata on the memory card, this feature can depend on camera model. We plan to support Lightroom more fully in the future. Great to hear it works on your older iPad!
Save Your Money Doesn’t Work
Purchased a one year subscription to tether my Canon R5 to my iPad via USB cable. App will not detect my camera. Tried using the WiFi connection method…..same thing…..can’t detect my camera. Sent their customer service a help request through the app. No response for ten days. Finally get a an email that simply mimics all the suggestions they list in the app when you have trouble (as if I hadn’t tried all those already). Can’t get anyone to call me or live chat to debug the issue. Would recommend you save your money and invest in Capture One for iPad which has wired tethering. Very disappointed in product and customer service.

L’app est visuellement belle mais les fonctions sont mal gérées. Nikon Z8 connecté, cette app est à la maternelle. Utilisez CamRanger, c’est autre chose et vraiment pro !

Used the app for years
It’s always been a bit of a love/hate relationship, but in the end what it has offered has always been 5 stars. Got a new camera recently and it refuses to connect to the LUMIX S5II. I looked on the compatibility page and it doesn’t even mention the S5. Y’all should just drop the Panasonic logo altogether if you’re not going to support modern cameras.

Mostly love
I love this app. It just works for tethering. My only gripe is when I switch real quick to review saved photos in the iPad Photos app, the camera becomes disconnected. Reconnecting is easy, but an annoying chore of unplugging the USB and plugging back in.
Will not save video.
This app is great for stills but not so much for videos. I’m not sure if it’s a fault of the app or if the file sizes are too big. Whenever I record video it wont save to my iPad mini. It will record to the camera but that won’t play back either. I’ve been through settings and have it set to save to “camera and host” but it doesn’t save to host(iPad mini). Still needs a bit of work.

Great…When It Works
This has generally worked well and been reliable for me, but lately all it does is crash. Not sure why. The app is updated and so is my iPad.
Für Sony User nur begrenzte Funktionen
Live view funktioniert alles einwandfrei. Steuerung auch. Bilder betrachten Fehlanzeige. Es kann nicht auf die speicherkarte zugegriffen werden.

Great app missing a duh feature
I wish the app had a full screen mode with no info displayed. I do screen recordings for previews and wish they simply had a way to switch to turn off the controls and focus box from appearing. Please please add this simple option. I love the app and would highly recommend it. I would give it a 5 if it had this! Keep up the great software! Thank you so much!!!

L’application fonctionne plutôt bien, se connecte très facilement à l’appareil photo avec le câble ou en wifi, les fonctionnalités principales de l’application son opérationnelles. Je constate néanmoins deux défauts majeurs, l’un étant rédhibitoire: le format d’affichage des photos prises est trop compressé, résultat, impossible de vérifier la netteté de l’image à moins de la copier sur l’appareil et de l’ouvrir avec une autre application. Une perte de temps et d’efficacité et c’est bien dommage. Le second défaut qui semble plus être un bug, est l’incapacité à utiliser le focus drive pour ajuster le point de focus lors de l’utilisation de la fonction live view. Les boutons sont là, mais ne fonctionnent pas.
Si a minima la première fonction est corrigée, j’achèterai avec grand plaisir la licence perpétuelle car c’est vraiment une super application.

Il y a cependant deux gros défauts, l’un étant absolument rédhibitoire: la médiocre qualité d’affichage des photos prises. Avoir la possibilité de connecter mon appareil à un plus gros écran me sert aussi à vérifier la netteté de l’image et ce n’est malheureusement pas possible de le faire dans l’app. Il faut copier les photos sur l’appareil pour pouvoir visualiser le rendu final. Cette solution finit par saturer rapidement la mémoire de l’appareil et ça me fait perdre du temps de changer d’application.
Le second point noir, il n’est pas possible de changer le point de focus si le live view est activé, les boutons de l’application ne marchent pas.
Une fois ces deux défauts corrigés, l’application sera absolument parfaite et je l’utiliserai avec grand plaisir pour la photo et la vidéo

The grid changed in version 7. You can enable it in the "Overlays" section of the remote control settings. Make sure you go into the "Grid Settings" submenu and choose the grids you want are enabled — which grid(s) to show and whether they're visible are not are separate settings now.
Funktioniert nicht mit Fujifilm X-T5
Ich hätte die App ja gerne gekauft und wirklich bewertet. Aber das scheitert leider daran, das eine Vebindung zur X-T5 von Fujifilm nicht möglich ist. X100VI und X-T50 werden ebenfalls nicht unterstützt
